Hello all, I received a notice to send in my medicals to my local office.

please any guidance on where to have this done around Newark would be appreciated. My Primary doctor seems not to know much about the process and the medical tests involved.

You can google immigration doctors (USCIS approved) near you..your primary doctor isn’t one so wouldn’t know much about it. A USCIS approved provider knows exactly what USCIS requires. And it looks like you’ll be approved without interview! Keep your fingers crossed!😊👍

Hi, I'm in similar situation like you. I wrote emails to several Congressmans, Ombudsman, and Senator.

Today I got an email or a response from USCIS through Congressman, saying that: "Security Background check" is delaying the process.

I submitted my I-360 application on June 2019 and to this day I don't have work authorization (EAD).

Anyone reading this, please give us an advice, opinion, testimony or any help  possible to resolve this monster called "delay." Myself I'm not a criminal.

FBI background check doesn't have to take 3 years on a person who has never committed anything, not in any gangs or broke any law anywhere in this world. I have never ever-ever-ever been arrested since I was a kid to my age.

Last month I was sued by credit companies. I lost everything I ever owned.

So how will the approval in my late 50s+ or 60s+ or say when I'm finally dead because of depression be of any assistance to me??

This is so frustrating!! I have been praying and fasting until I lost hope....I'm so depressed..it hurts alot to be dependent on other's or became a beggar and a burden because of........

Any help please???

Hi @Mkenyan I feel your pain and understand what you are going through as I’m in the same boat - pending security check even though my derivative has been issued her Green Card.

My suggestion is for you to file an EXPEDITED EAD under C09 NOT C31 if your abusive is a USC. This way you can start working and be able to take your mind off the whole situation.

I know it is hard to take one’s mind off it, especially if it seems USCIS is sabotaging your mental health and your existence in life. But honestly whatever it seems, it is only preparing you for a greater and better tomorrow.

Just a little snippet on my case and how it seems USCIS is deliberately against me (I am a May 2019 filer) - after the pending security blah blah from congress, I wrote a letter asking for PF renewal so I can continue with nursing school, an IO (perhaps from the pit of hell) replied that I was issued EAD 2 weeks ago, and my PF is not due to expire until May 8th so therefore I should wait till then and if I don’t get a new PF then contact. To me, this is a joke because my renewal letter was this April, few weeks to May 8th, I specifically told them school is starting May 9th! Now, the school can’t authorize my financial aid! But you know how I have decided to not allow what it seems like USCIS is against me affect me? I went ahead to apply for a private loan. Even at that, I met a stumbling block - not being a green card holder meant I needed a co-signer. Guess what? My daughter who got a green card through my vawa ended up being my co-signer. Why am I saying all these? Every stumbling block you meet, think out of the box and always look for other routes! Other routes are always there for us, we just have to look and think harder.

so please if you meet all those conditions, apply for EAD under C09 and get busy. If you don’t let us know and we can all think out of the box together.

Hello to you all👋 My interview is on April 22.

What do I need to take besides the appointment notice and medical?

I have an expired driving license due to my expired work permit. I didn't file because my I-485 was out of the normal processing time. Does it have a problem?

And any advise you have?

Thank you!

@sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 @TBoneTX @Shroy123

How was your interview??

Hi guys! I feel like I might be reading too much into this (or I hope I am...) but as you all know, anything related to immigration is so anxiety-provoking! I filed to have my I-765 expedited about 2 weeks ago, got an update on April 19th that the expedite request was being considered, April 20th that a new card was being produced but today it just says "Case approved. We sent an approval notice." Why did they stop producing my card?! Should I be worried? 😕

If it didn’t say “Production Stopped” it most certainly wasn’t stopped! This stages you mentioned are very normal with USCIS! You should be getting the document as it apparently states the case was approved! Card production usually precedes approval- it usually is an indication that the petition has been approved!😊👍

I worry the worries, so please keep up your spirit. It’s just that Officers are trained to keep people comfortable, smile say all good, just a little review….

His line of question brings me to assume they WILL look at your most recent DS-160 and your answer there ( about previous denial) was important …and remember you also had an interview for that visa.

Usually not much scrutiny w VAWAs..as you have read on this thread..so hold on to your faith.

That is not true, they look at your entire history, and they scrutinize your record.  If they find something and want to question you about it they will.  Please do not believe they are not looking at the your immigration history before they approve I-485.

My IO told me everything that she saw from when I had H2B, my I-130, B1/2, and my VAWA.  She even saw my IRS information.  The IO told me  that my record was consistent, with no red flags.

It's normal.

You will soon have another update for card mailed to you and the tracking number.
