Hi everyone,  congratulations to all who have received their approvals. I am a March 2018 filler, vawa approved August 2020. I filled both 360 and 485 in March 2018, after vawa approval 485 updated to "your case has to transferred to another office.  I received a later in September 2020 requesting for birth certificate and a sent it. 485 updated to Responds to request for further evidence till date, nothing has changed on my 485, I don't even know which field office my file is. Please advise on how to know where my file is. Thanks. Below is a screen shot of my case history.

She indicated I-864W is not required since the i-485 is based on an approved I-360. Is that correct? Also when I’m sending this

I did not have a chance to clarify earlier, but I don’t know what version of the I-485 u filed back in 2020..am assuming the Dark Ages of Prolific Proclamations and Public Charge one.. even then the only options were to say “ not subject to I-864…

I have only kudos and respect for good  and fast work of your attorney, rest assured you are not undermining his good work.

Other than , yes it will be needed, in your packet you are attempting a “supplemental filing “ as means to establish contact w your field office and CALL or track your file…cause unlike a Help Me Letter, now they a a ( misguided Lol,) filing to deal with..and IN THEORY and ON SOME memo it tells to help that filing finds its way to the file.

You mentioned you kept writing to VSC, why did u think I-485 was there ?

I checked. I think she was saying no need to file I-864 but need to file the waiver. My current issue is actually figuring out what the mailing address is for the Honolulu field office. USPS did not recognize the address listed as a mailing address.

I was writing to VSC to update my address. They sent EAD to a previous address so post office returned it since I know longer lived in that building. I filled out three AR-11 forms. I ended up having to file a new I-765. By the time I got my card I had moved again. Thank goodness it didn’t get returned and my friend was able to get it and ship it to me. Took me two years to get it resolved.

Ohhh,,,VAWA needs letters that state “ here’s my safe address”, AR-11 does not work.

Ha of course. I did send letters stating my new address but guess I forgot the keyword

Location Address:
500 Ala Moana Boulevard
Suite 2-403
Honolulu, HI 96813

I used zip 96813 I think
does it look familiar

Yes that’s the address I gave the post office. The clerk said that suite number didn’t exist as a mailing address and maybe there’s a separate mailing. Or they have a mail room where all the mail for the building gets sent to. So maybe I should call the Honolulu office tomorrow to inquire about the mailing address.

I love how they misspell "punctuation."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

"This book is dedicated to my parents, Ayn Rand and God."

Another one:

Commas can change the meaning of a sentence.

For example:
Ben is in a hurry.
Ben is in a coma.

Not yet, I will file my citizenship in 2024.

Immigration law does not allow anyone who obtained their green card through marriage (VAWA is in this category) and divorces that person and re- marries a non us citizen, they cannot file for them to immigrate to the US or obtain their green card for 5 years  or after you become a US Citizen which is 3 years.

In november 2019 my i360 was approved.. and at the same day my i485 was transferred to the local office. After transferring to local office
almost 30 months have passed and there is no updates ... how long do you think it takes to get green card interview? Is it normal? Taking so long. New york city.

It's time to contact your congressperson to inquire on your behalf.
