Paper problem hmmm ,sometimes just dnt think about it ,just do the needful ,to get green card can run you crazy if you are not strong ..you just have to keep pressing hard !! It’s not an easy journey ,one needs to be very patient and keep contacting your Congress person so they can come in and know what’s really happening ..my own lawyer lost my ead renewal receipt 🧾..but I believe everything will be fine ,just be patient and put everything to God ,dnt stress too much ,always remember that at the end everything is vanity !! Nobody is leaving this world with green card or USA passport ..so use that to ease your mind till you get your green card ..I just felt to drop message of hope to you cause that’s how I encouraged  @God is a good God and now he has been approved ..just keep the faith and positive spirit ..and keep pushing hard and contacting the right people you  suppose to contact ..Everything will be alright !!

I love your message, no one will go to heaven with a green card or American passport 😂😂😂. Americans thinks giving a green card to people it’s like something that comes from heaven. This is the only country in the world where people wait 7 years to 40 years or more just for a piece of card. Thank you for encouraging me though

If I added a minor request for adjustment way after mine but her 360 was approved will I get another receipt for her or they use my i485 receipt for her as well?

To add her your I-485 she would need to be adjusting as a derivative on YOUR underlying Self Petition (I-360) and yes you would get receipts for that filing or a Rejection . …but adding way after would not speed up her case or guarantee it will catch up to yours …in most cases they are able to adjudicated related cases at same time .
You indicate she also has her own I-360 and if using that she files I-485 at anytime

I had filed for her i485 after her 360 approval but haven’t heard anything from them. About receiving it or anything.

VAWA approved people usually do not get interview for i-485. If there are major issues like entry without inspection, crimes etc they still might interview, but usually it's waived. Next step for you is to wait for the medical deficiency notice or RFE for medicals. Do not get medicals done until then, If you send medicals now they will just lose it. Once they ask for medicals and you then send medical, green card is approved within a few weeks to 2 months after that. I have seen people on this forum get their green card anywhere between 4 months to 3 years after I360 approval. Usual processing time is 6 to 12 months after i360 approval. Feel free to bug USCIS for updates through your senator or congressman once every 3 months.

That is not true.  Prior to COVID 19 every VAWA based I-485 had an interview.

I couldn't petition my wife from a different country even I'm already a green card holder? As far as I know I can petition her if I'm a green card holder.

You are a green card holder that has divorced the person they obtained their green through (including VAWA).  By law, if you divorce and marry someone else, you cannot file for them until you have been married 5 years as a Green Card Holder.  It is 3 years if you become a US Citizen.

In your first post you said “ added her to your own”.. so please clarify if she was listed ( named ) as a derivative on YOUR I-360? If she was listed and you also included her own I-360 copy…and her I-485 form is unclear as to which I-360 she is using as basis for adjusting……they may just be confused and it’s floating.

Best u try calling to track the I-485 packet , call USCIS. And if no headway…and MONTHS have past since u filed it, PREPARE another I-485 based on her own I-360 and file it. It will not count against her/ you in any way but you will get receipts pretty quickly

I think my lawyer is playing me. After bugging her for many many days to do the above process for me to get an EAD, i finally get a response from her paralegal stating that they have had an in depth meeting about this and have determined i can actually file an EAD based on VAWA even on removal. She sends me an online form which i fill and send back to her, then she fills the form of EAD authorization then she just sent them to me so i can sign and include my 2 passport photos and send them back to her for mailing. Going through this form, she’s filing under the category of C31. I know from reading in this group that this category of EAD only gets approved once VAWA has already been approved.

Have you guys ever heard of someone applying to get a C31 EAD before VAWA approval? I may be wrong but i think she’s just playing me to get off her back and buy time for VAWA adjudication 😂😂 I’m kinda not mad at her though, she’s creative in getting me off her back.

@Demise @sandranj @Pinkrlion

They will only issue this category after VAWA approved.  If you have already filed I-485, then you use C09.  Otherwise, this is correct.

Applied for renew MayYou 2021. So it’s almost been a year! That’s why I’m excited I can finally travel.

My I-360 status is fees were waived. Applied Sept 2020. :)

Your EAD and AP are two different petitions.  Because EAD has been approved does not mean AP has been approved.

Yeah I think people should always think this sometimes ,everything is vanity ,though it is necessary to have it so as to live freely but it is not eternal cause at the end of the day nobody is gonna be buried or go to heaven with green card or blue passport ,everything would be left here In the world and again even having green cards or blue passport dnt still guarantee peace of mind and happiness ,it’s only God that’s gives peace of mind ,so we should always put this into consideration too ,green cards and blue passport is good but they are not eternal ,the kingdom of heaven is eternal ..just take life simple and be positive,as long as one is doing the needful what will be will be ..no need of letting uscis  people pressure you or spoil your happiness ..I never let their sluggishness from uscis stress me ..I just live my life and forget snit uscis , when is time God will make everything work out ,no need of stressing too much ..y’all should keep the positive energy and always knows that green cards and blue passport is vanity ,some have green cards and blue passport but they are not happy ,they still commit suicide ..so dnt let uscis stress you ..what will be will be ..just keep it simple
