If it send to your attorney office then there is possibility that they have lost it. What you can do is ask your attorney to request the copy of receipts from USCIS.

Going forward the best thing to do is file the renewal by yourself and put your own address.

I would say get the help from your congress person. Reach out to them and explain your situation to them

Yea that’s what am gonna do ….can I change the address to my address..both for the green card as well ..

Timeline:

I360 applied- August 2019

I360 Approved- May 2021

If your May 2021 in indeed “ Approved “ and Prima Facie eligibility / Deferred Action…then you were immediately eligible to file your I-485. Once I-360 is approved, they will not take any other action on your case.

Quick Question- I got my Vawa approved but also got a Supplemental notice of Deferred Action. Is this common?

Timeline:

I360 applied- August 2019

I360 Approved- May 2021

No update since then.

I apologize for my previous typos and chopped sentences…IF you have an “APPROVED “ I -360, you can file I-485/I-765/ I-131 ,1-864 W . There is no other action they will take on an approved I-360.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to ask what the "new card being produced" meant on my I360 update.

I've already received my EAD just recently (December 2021), so I'm not quite sure what this is for.. for reference, my case history is below. Any leads for what this may be would really be helpful for me ❤️

Yes you can change the address by filling out form AR-11

But i am not sure if you can still your address if you have given attorney's address @Demise

For VAWA and UVISA cases where there is a G-28 ( Attorney on Record) they will ONLY send Notices/ Cards to the Attorney…but timely AR-11 are always a good idea.

Maybe I should just stick to the lawyer so there won’t be any mix up somewhere ..

I will stick to the lawyer then ,I will just tell them to make sure the are alwahs effective ,cause if I decides to change the address ,it might take time before it will reflect and it might complicate my case

@Blunt

For VAWA related things you have to send in a letter to VSC requesting an address change. The letter should use "I would this address to be my safe VAWA address" or something along those lines. VSC won't take an AR-11, I've been there.

Regarding the G-28 on file, they will send letters to both you and your lawyer. Cards they'll send depending on what boxes you checked on the G-28.

So are you saying everyone who gets deferred action is also eligible for C14?

Yes but why would you?

They said they can’t provide any duplicate of receipt to my Congress..

Have them ask USCIS to mail you a new one to your address on file. Alternatively file a FOIA request asking specifically for the receipt notice for the case number they gave you. I did that to get a copy of my I-360 approval.

@Demise @balo101

I received the EAD today and it’s a C09.

Any suggestion on what next to do?

I honestly don't know, your case has been odd to say the least.

You ask the congressman to check the location of it :)

thanks!!! I asked my lawyer about that - she said it's better to do some follow-up with USCIS before reaching out to congress people. It's been over a month she put in a status request - nothing yet. I did get I-693 deficiency notice, so does that mean case is transferred for sure?

Just ask the congressman for assistance, it won’t hurt

only way to know for sure is to ask, lawyer or better yet, congressman

Hi guys, I’m new to this platform and it’s really been helpful. I filed for 360/485/765/131, all in Jan 29 2021. Receipt notice came Feb 12, 2021

i got my 765 approval in July and also received the card on July 22, 2021. But my 131 was denied, found out from my lawyer that the reason is because I was in removal proceedings which I didn’t know about! Master hearing was for Oct 2021 but it got postponed since the courts were closed because of Covid. New master hearing date is Feb 2025!!(don’t know if it’s a good thing)

My lawyer is all about the money and she painted my scenario to be a terrible one, most likely to get more money from me(billed me crazy to represent me in court for the master hearing).

while trying to find info online, I found this group and it’s been really helpful and see I’m not alone in the struggle.
I know it’s still a while till my vawa approval but my question is about the removal proceedings. since my packet was submitted to Vermont,

1) do I need to file a 485 to the court since I’m in removal proceedings?

2)since my master hearing is in 2025, does that mean I have to wait till then before they start to work on my 485

3)I saw a video posted by @God is a good God
about DHS/USCIS trying to reduce the backlog in immigration court by taking removal proceedings cases with pending AOS And dismissing them. Which cases qualify and do we need to fill out any application?
Anyone in similar situation and timeline? Need some word of encouragement, Feel exhausted!!!!

1. What category is on your EAD/ work permit?

2. Did you get a Prima Facie/ Deferred Action Notice for the I-360?

3. The I-485 that’s in Vermont  will most likely be denied for lack of USCIS jurisdiction or just linger w no action …but remember the CRUCIAL/ IMPORTANT bit is the I-360 ….so a far off in the distance court date gives you time to get I-360 approved.

4. Sounds like your attorney has not yet made a first appearance in Immigration Court yet but since you paid/ retained her she likely  entered representation already and can reach out to ICE to see if they will join a Motion to Terminate…/ Not Oppose  or Admin Close …based on your pending I-360.
Follow @Demise,she is up to speed on court proceedings.

5. You said you did not know you were in removal..NTA shows how /when you were served …so when was NTA issued?

Your proceedings are based on asylum or what application? Before your master hearing your vawa should be approved already and you’ll terminate the proceedings and file let USCIS adjudicate on your i485. Terminating proceedings are very easy these days.
I’m in proceedings too, my vawa just got approved 4 weeks ago, waiting for the approval letter for me to either terminate the proceedings and attend the i485 at USCIS or let the judge adjudicate my i485
