Sorry to hear that you are still waiting. I would not pay $500 to attorney to get the update. Like @Rhema1said reach out to your senator/congress person. I know as you mentioned you are calling eve week. keep doing that.

Got an email yesterday that an action was taken and needs attention on my 485, case did not update. Talked with a live agent through Emma, she couldn’t give any update and asked me write to Vermont center. Few hours later, received rfe notification for 485. Still waiting for the letter.

 

Feeling anxiety so looking for any information. Any idea what the rfe could be about?

 

If you guys don't mind me asking, now that my vawa is approved, could they ask for marriage/abuse related documents again for I485 rfe? I have already submitted all I have and I'm not really looking forward to dig through everything. My paralegal is not responding and I'm not sure where the letter was sent.

 Old EAD expired in February, 2022.

Applied for EAD (C09)  renewal since January 30,2022  but no approval yet .

What can I do ? Thanks in advance.

Technically they are not supposed to and i have not heard they asked anyone for the abuse related documents. Once your local field office gets your file from vermont they already have all the documents on that file that you submitted already.

You already have extension for 18 months now. so you are good at this point.

Yeah, depending on the state where you are leaving. 

Go to the nearest Driver's license office with your renewal notice, they will do the SAVE verification with USCIS and renew the driver's license when they get their response.

You can only travel in your home county if:

1- you have a valid Advance parole document. 

2-You have never asked for asylum .   

3- you are not in a removal proceeding.

What @Rhema1said is correct.

But if you meant with extension then answer is no. Extension doesn't apply for AP.

Can anyone please share the number and steps for infopass or USCIS customer service for VAWA? A number that you tried as it worked.

 

Google shows different numbers and I’m not sure how to speak with a rep. VAWA approved in Feb while I-485 is still in Vermont 6 months later.

I submitted my Vawa on September 2019, 

they asked me a RFE May 2021and I responded it on July 2021, till few days back was silence on website but now said “ correspondence was received and uscis reviewing it . 
my attorney on April submitted a letter for over processing time .

5,6 months back I sent some additional documents which I found later. 
i have been waiting too long for approval , I hope I’ll get some good news . 
Also my removal proceeding administratively closed . 
my question are they taking action on my case ?  22 days still same update correspondence was received ..

The customer service number is 1-800-375-5283. 

How do you know your i-485 is still in Vermont? I would say reach out to your congress person to get the update on your i-485.

Since you reached your documents. They will surely work on your case. Just be patients.

Hey hi, I filled Oct 2019, my case also changed to “correspondance was received and uscis is reviewing” but it was back in April this year (and last correspondance I sent was in January 2020)  and I’m still waiting…

So you are seeing that update almost 5 months. I really do not know what’s going on with these case ..
