Her case is under security check 360 form  , I heard if she contacted to congressperson for make new fingerprint it helps for security check will done quickly. Can she send the request to congressperson for ask to uscis  new fingerprint?

I do not think that is possible.

USCIS will send her biomatrices appointment if they required her to do so.

What way is for speeding up for security check . How long does take security check and background check? What is different background and security check ?

Security check and background check are basically the same thing. You give USCIS your biometrics (names, fingerprints, picture, and some other information like eye color, hair color, height, weight), they send those to the FBI that then checks in the system for hits.

In 99% of the cases you're just waiting for your info to pass through an FBI agent's desk who will then run the program on your stuff, get no hits, and click an OK button.

In rarer cases there might be a hold up because you're a partial match to someone else and they have to double check that you're not the criminal in question.

I do not believe you can hasten FBI on this one as this does kinda fall under matters of national security.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Why it takes long time .. if applicants hasn’t never had any criminal record in his/her life . Is it possible to make double check? And the reason why takes long time ?

Consider extremely common names:

James E. Smith

Maria Garcia (with various maternal suffixes)

Mohammad (plus variant spellings)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

@Demise and others

so this is what I got on my I-765 after my daughter has gotten her own GC and my I-360 is yet to be updated since 02/15 with correspondence was received. (Had to write them a letter stating my daughter’s GC and me being the main applicant is yet to be updated)

As soon as I receive the card will update if it’s C09 or C31

If your VAWA is still pending then it would be C09.

If you have VAWA already approved then this could be C09 or C31 depending on what you choose on i-765 application question 27.

That’s the thing Balo, the I360 is yet to be updated as approved. My daughter however who is a derivative under my I360 has been issued her GC under category IB8. So technically the I360 is approved right?

@sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 have you ever seen this type of case before?

FYI, yes I’ve written them a letter personally, yes I’ve reached out to my congress man (yet to get a response from that angle)

Yes if your daughters got her GC then definitely your VAWA is approved.

However, this is really unique case i have ever seen.

Have you ever received your C31 based on Vawa?

That’s what I’m hoping this EAD will be based on. To at least give me some clue on this unique case. As soon as the card comes in, I will update here if it’s a C09 or C31. Thanks Balo

They will only request new fingerprints if her last set has expired.  So it will be a waste of time, as they will tell congressman, they do not need them.  Background check is different than security check.
