Sometimes, people gets approved before filing their form I-485.

Generally in this case,  your priority date becomes the day uscis received your form I-485 and the date used in making of any service request out of normal processing time shown by your local office.

So you might still be in the normal processing time at your local office even though your form I-360 was approved in October 2020.

I was talking about i360 not i485 and I'm not approved yet

But some officers are faster than others.

Sometimes they May picked some cases here and there.

Uscis Vermont is really unpredictable!!!

But I know, you are there and should be getting yours very soon. 👍👍👍

Hi VJ Family,

I just got my 131 approval notice for travel document. It has my passport picture on it, but am wondering if it’s safe to travel with the AP since my i1360 is still pending.
I filed i360 oct 2020.

got 2 prima facie

and 2 years EAD C9

please I need advice if it’s safe enough travel with AP while i360 is still pending. Thanks 🙏

As long you  didn't apply  for asylum or you are not  in removal proceedings you can travel without any problem.

I'm honestly is at a loss.

A bit over 2 years ago me and my ex husband applied for an adjustment of status.
While waiting my husband started changing and started to abuse me mentaly and in the end physically.
I had to get out before who knows what would have happen.

I sent in my application for VAWA just a day ago but today I got my letter for my interview.
But this interview is for me and my ex husband.
I don't know who to contact or what to do.

Please, help me

Go to the interview alone. Bring a copy of the certified mail that you send to the USCIS. Ask the officer to put on hold your AOS on hold until final adjudication of your I-360.

Hello family. I requested a status update through my senator from Vermont and below is the response I received.

"Thank you for submitting your inquiry on behalf of your constituent, xxxxxxxxxxx, in regards, to the Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (Form I-485), Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxx. Also, thank you for providing our office with the attached, signed Privacy Release form for your constituent.

A review of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) systems reflect that your constituent’s case was administratively closed on November 13, 2018, by the Field Office".

My vawa was approved in April and I thought my attorney placed my case on hold during the previous i-130 interview. Kindly advise me on what to do at this stage. @Stillwinning!!!😊 @sandranj

They are saying here that your removal proceedings was administratively closed. You need to file a motion to reopen your I-485.

I wish they could! Unfortunately, Congressman and Senator are afraid of talking to the FBI. At least that's what I was told and read online (I could be wrong though).

The thing is, if congressman or Senator push FBI into expediting name check or Background security check, then 97 years later the approved applicant turns around and commit terrorism, That same Congressman or the Senator will be condemned or blamed forever....

From my own observation and expirience, VAWA is the last thing I'll ever advise any victim to ever go through, victims should do everything to avoid VAWA, especially if you're from Africa or India/Pakistan or Middle Eastern. They have a strict policy that "all applications are fraudulent until proven admissible." So for people from Africa, Asia and some instances Britain.

USCIS just take their time scanning through everything that look suspicious (or sometimes waiting for applicants to commit a crime that will eventually make them Inadmissibile).

Idleness and stress has taught me alot!

(Personal views though).

The immigration LAW and USCIS's handling of immigration cases do not align with your personal opinion.  I had over 6.000 cases, which at least 3.500 were people from India and Pakistan.I never had one single case denied.Individuals who have been victims of abuse should file VAWA.The  strict policy you mentioned does not exist.

Hi @sandranj

I was never on removal proceeding and I renewed my C09 employment authorization twice in 2019 without any issue. I only got a notice of administrative closure for i-130 after the interview when i told the office i will be submitting i-360 and when I received a receipt notice, a copy was taken to her at the local office. Could this be a mistake from USCIS? Please, I need your assistance.

Hi VJ Family!

Has anyone been successful in contacting Sen Gillibrand lately?

I reached out to her in the beginning of January. In February I receive the following response:

I appreciate you taking the time to bring this immigration matter to my attention. I know how important it is to you.

In an effort to be of assistance, I have brought the information you presented to the attention of the US Citizenship & Immigration Services. I have requested a review of this matter and a written response from the agency.

As soon as I receive a response, I will contact you again.

However, I've never heard anything since then. I thought USCIS had to reply to a senator's inquiry within a certain period of time. Does anyone know how long they have to reply? 4 months of silence seems way too long, is this normal?

I also reached out to my congresswoman a couple of weeks ago but still haven't heard back. I've submitted my I-485 in 2017 and my I-360 was approved 11 months ago, I just needed some light at this point 😣
