The C31 doesn't have any AP attached on it if it was not initially requested because it isn't a combo card.

So, you will still use your C09,wich is a combo card to enter USA.

So the C31 doesn't automatically have AP? I always thought that C31 will be a combo card if my initial C09 EAD is a combo. Do I need my VAWA approval letter when I enter the US again or is the I-485 receipt notice enough?

Congrats! Firstly, you will stick with your C9 and AP for your return. I don't envisage you having any problem with your return to the US. For the second issue, you don't need to retain your lawyer for i485. I am of the opinion that there is nothing he can do to expedite your application that you cannot do yourself. I would advise you to contact your congressman to inquire about the status of your i-485.

Thank you! Do I need to show anything else together with the C09 when I re-enter the US like my VAWA approval notice?

I sent a request to my congressperson's office yesterday to place an inquiry for me to USCIS about transferring my I-485 to the local office. Other than that, there isn't really anything else to do right? Is is recommended to have a lawyer with me if I get an interview notice?

You just need Valid AP to enter USA. I travelled few times and did not carry either approval or receipt notice.

The C31 is not a combo card when it is issued for the first time.

You only need that combo card Co9 to enter USA.

They will not even ask for your approval letter even though I always have it on me whenever I travel out of USA.

They have NEVER asked for it.

I traveled more than 10 times.

Do you have a copy of your t-360? or if you did it through your lawyer you can ask him/her for a copy of your i-360.

or you can request from USCIS (FOIA) just to see whether you checked the box or not.

Lately i have seen approval are taking much shorter than usually. I know few people on an other forum who got approved in 2 days after new card being produced.

Thanks, i was able to find the copy of  my 360 and box was checked, i just hope i didnt cross that our before filing the form, lets see, as you said, hope either status will update soon so i wont need to wait longer time, 2 RFEs are enough for lifetime anxiety along with abuse i went through ,

Thank you Balo and family for the help.

Just your AP and valid passport. If you have your i-360 approval, you don't need a lawyer for the interview.

Any october 2020 approval yet,  i know the wait is still 26 months but i am tired alreadddddyyy !!

They are actively working on April 2020 filers. Knowing this should help you to be more relaxed.

At least you have a C09 combo card that allows you to travel and work while waiting. Others are not so fortunate, but they continue living and praising God.

Just relaxed and keep trusting God for a better ending, for he knows what is best for us.

Is HE not the Master of times and circumstances?

I Filed april 7 but not approved yet

You will be hearing from them very soon.

They are on April 2020 files. Don't also forget that all depends of the workload and how faster the officer that has your file is taking for any adjudication.

All do not have the same workload or SPEED.

My I-360 is pending since November 2019.

Right now things are so bad. USCIS is using security Background check or FBI name check as main reason to delay many cases.

It doesn't matter whether you have an emergency, you expedited or what! They're backed up.

Mine I responded to a RFE at around April 2021. Since then I haven't heard anything.

Both congressman and Senator were told me "it's background check that's delaying and it can't be expedited"

Just hung on guys!!

My attorney advised me to wait another 6 months, then sent another inquiry through Congressman. Ombudsman office are no longer responding, so don't waste your time sending them any requests. They won't respond.

Bit of a crazy legal theory, but try to ask your congressman to follow up with the FBI instead.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
