It is Sunday, and therefore time for our approval-evoking (if correlation = causation) Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

================================

QUESTIONS THAT LAWYERS ALLEGEDLY ASKED WITNESSES DURING TRIALS

"Now, Doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?"

"The youngest son, the 20-year-old:  How old is he?"

"Were you present when your picture was taken?"

"Were you alone or by yourself?"

"Was it you or your younger brother who was killed in the war?"

"Did the defendant kill you?"

"How far apart were the vehicles at the time of the collision?"

Q:  "So the date of conception [of the baby] was August 8?"

A:  "Yes."

Q:  "And what were you doing at that time?"

Q:  "You say the stairs went down to the basement."

A:  "Yes."

Q:  "And these stairs, did they also go up?"

Q:  "You went on a rather elaborate honeymoon, didn't you?"

A:  "I went to Europe, sir."

Q:  "And you took your new wife?"

Q:  "Are you qualified to give a urine sample?"

A:  "I have been since early childhood."

Q:  "How was your first marriage terminated?"

A:  "By death."

Q:  "And by whose death was it terminated?"

Q:  "Do you recall the time that you examined the body?"

A:  "The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m."

Q:  "And Mr. Dennington was dead at the time?"

A:  "No; he was sitting on the table, wondering why I was doing an autopsy."

:P

Hello family,

I say a big congratulations to all the approvals.

Please can anyone help me with my doubts. I filled vawa concurrently with i-485, i-765 and i-131 on 22nd February 2022. I received notices for all the applications 3 weeks later and PF exactly one month after filling. My finger prints callup came in  April and I was suppose to appear on 29th of April. Unfortunately, the finger print letter arrived after the date I was suppose to appear.  I was however able to visit the finger print center on 9th of May instead of 29th of April. Luckily the information was collected at the center without any questioning. The following day being 10th of May, the information was acknowledged on my online USCIS page as finger print taken for i-485.

My doubts is, as we speak, no response from USCIS regarding the work authorization and advance parole. Is it normal? Or is there anything I can do to fasten it because is not easy to survive here without a job. I have been practically living from hand to mouth since my wife changed it for me.

Many thanks my people.

Hello Ny4real,

I like your name. The identical thing happened to me as well. I got notice that fingerprint is reused for 360 and 485, but only on 485 it shows fingerprint is reuse. No fingerprint applied to 765 and 131. I received ead card with says fingerprint not available. So there is nothing to worry for now.  I highly recommend that you ask congressperson to inquire on your 765 but chances are slim that anything will happen to the case. I also did the same and I got the response from the congressperson that the constituent is within USCIS processing timelime, Please wait till it's out of precessing to inquire. I got the EAD after 8 months of wait and I inquired after 6 months of applying. Hope this helps.

If you are within processing time, Ask congressman to make an inquiry of your case and they will give you privacy release form. They can take anywhere between 30 - 45 days. Usually closer to 45 days. I also did the same last week.

That's unfortunately normal. EAD/AP takes like 8 months these days. You could try reaching out to your senator or congressman and have them inquire.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
