Address for the applicant evacuating Ukraine

If Jenny evacuates, what is the most appropriate address for the document?

Can I use my address in the USA for the affidavit of support?

Once she has refugee status, I assume addresses will be very fluid.

Exactly which form are you talking about?

Do you mean form I-864? If so, and if you're the sponsor, you HAVE TO use your address.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but I've heard various immigration attorneys saying that's going to be years down the road.

What do you mean by refugee status and where, assuming she heads for the EU will she not have an address there? Use whatever that is.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

When I filed my fiancée’s I-129F I used my USA address as her mailing address as even in peace time, mail is a joke in Burma.

So for the beneficiary’s mailing address add a line “In care of <<name of petitioner>>” between the name of the beneficiary and the mailing address of the petitioner.

Just in case: if your partner is evacuating to the EU, please know that it is NOT advised for Ukrainian citizens to apply for asylum right now. Many people are panicking and making decisions without reading the fine letters. She can lose her passport and the ability to get out of the country if she applies for asylum.

With a biometrics passport, she can stay in the Schengen Area for 90 days. Depending on the country, she can then either request a short-stay permit when 90 days are about to expire, or request a document for temporary protection specific for Ukrainian refugees - this is separate from asylum.

There's more country-specific info, depends where she is at, I can send a link. Asylum is not what you need right now. If your case is already transferred to Frankfurt, it's likely she'll get the approval and head to the US soon.
