Okay understood. What is the likelihood of being outside processing times? Does that happen often or no?

Currently, there is a post on the first page of IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures and that's the first one I've seen in the past 6 months.

I'm not sure how often it happens but usually people think they're outside processing times and then discover they were transferred.

An inquiry through your myUSCIS account is going to land at the correct center, anyway.  Worrying about it is like worrying about which FedEx center your package is going to go through.  It's moot until If or when the package is lost and even then, you speak to a central location, not the specific processing centers.

Has anyone prepared themselves for the long wait at NVC? Or do you think the backlog will get any better than it is now? Their saying their going to hire more people(nvc) but That is not until months ahead or more. Only way I see the backlog decreasing is if they open up more hours to review cases. Day, evening, overnights with incentives. All this takes money of course. Really thinking of just moving their😅

2020 was not only covid but the fewest petitions ever seen when the stats show they were going up by leaps and bounds previous thru 2019

the # of petitions issued by foreign  embassies in 2015 was at a high of 10,891,745 which went down to 7.6 in 2020.

now ,  the amount of petitions has increased  again especially from those who want to bring more family members after naturalization

and if u follow the flow,  the 2015 LPR immigrants either can or have naturalized meaning now they can file for other family members increasing again the #of petitions filed

so,  will the backlog go faster / doubtful

will USCIS hire new?  hope so and hope they are better trained than the ones who are sending out bogus letters and asking for unneeded duplicate documents and mailing green cards to wrong addresses

Now that CSC has processing times between 6.5 and 8.5 months, has anyone made a processing inquiry?  My PD is 8/10/21 and I confirmed through Emma today that my case is still at CSC.  I plan on making an inquiry tomorrow and was wondering if someone who has a PD before me has done this and gotten a response...

Early February they were interviewing cases DQed July 2021.

USCIS is not the only step.

USCIS

NVC

Consulate Interview

you should prepare for a 1.5- 2 year average

According to VJ the average time from filing to interview is 648 days.

My priority  date November  2020, f2a visa means spouse is green card holder. Its still with USCIS, no update. Calico  service center.

I sent an inquiry saying I didn’t get my approval letter just to see what response I got and this is the response I got:

Thank you for your inquiry. Your petition will be adjudicated shortly, in the order in which it was received. You should receive a notice of action* within 180 days.

I can submit an outside normal processing time inquiry on Aug 23 if I don’t get my approval before then. Any thoughts on that response? Does anyone think I will get my approval before I have to make an inquiry on Aug 23. I’m so ready to get my approval andthis part of the process to be over with. I’m pretty sure they have to give the longest worst case scenario in case something comes up and it does take that long but it probably want. Just want some advice and hope

I’m sorry but nobody will be able to answer that.

Seems to me like a generic response. All you can do is wait

Okay thank you for your response
