Did you all see this???   It says this for I-130 in California Service Center in USCIS.GOV processing times.  BIG SURPRISE.  It used to say 30+ months

Yassss!!! Hopefully things will keep moving forward and mine will get approved soon! I’ve had my petition in since Aug 31 2021

Lots of members out of California have reported getting NOA2 after 6 months so seems like USCIS processing times are finally reflecting that.

How often should you inquire about if your case has been transferred to a different service center? I see on here a lot that people say that they are usually never notified if they are transferred and I am just curious on all of your thoughts

Forgive me if this sounds rude, but why does it matter?  The cases get transferred all the time in an attempt to balance workloads or send specific processing types to the centers where that specialist work is done.  If anything, continual inquiries slow the system down because it takes someone away from case handling to running interference, handling all the inquiries.

I ask because if a person wish to inquire about their case if it is outside of regular processing time then they would need to know which service center there case is at. If it is at one service center right now and still has not gotten approved by their priority date then they go to inquire and find out their case was transferred but were never notified then that brings up another matter. That’s the only reason why I am asking

Right now your case is at California. Receipt date for case inquiry: July 21, 2021. If you are not approved before your date comes up send in an inquiry. You'll then told if your case is outside of normal processing times. If that happens, I would live chat with Emma on the website and see where your service center is.

So, my answer to your question is: Only Inquire again after you are outside of processing times for California AND the submission form tells you you're actually not outside processing times.

Okay understood. What is the likelihood of being outside processing times? Does that happen often or no?
