I was wondering if anyone knows how many days it has been taking for most people to have their i-130 approved in the California Service center if their spouse resides in the Dominican Republic?

I would like to know what to expect for the time frame of my i-130 if it has been actively reviewed since sept 22 2021 at the California service center? Any suggestions on how long the petition will probably take and the whole process if my husband lives in Dominican republic?

So do you think that possibly by may or june i may get an approval for my i-130?

Think September 2022 for approval of i-130. If it is sooner celebrate.

Live your life in the meantime. Chat to your partner. Go visit if you can.

Expect your partner will receive a visa interview September 2023.

If things happen before that feel lucky.

The waiting and not knowing is the worst!

We filed in July and no movement.

Really wish we had filed earlier but some people who filed in May and March are still waiting.

It's all a mystery.

I hope you get an approval soon and glad you'll be able to see your husband in June.

What service center is yours processing at? And do you get to see your spouse often? I wish you luck as well 🤗

At least you have that. It is wonderful that you have each other to get through this because it is stressful waiting and not knowing.

Thank you for that. Hopefully mine will be transferred once the workload picks up. It is hard to be patient when you want your spouse here but i am trying 😉

Everyone wants their spouses and families here but can’t jump the line.

It can and probably will change.

Have a look at VJ historic timelines for each of the service centers.

California is at 219 days;

Vermont 253 days;

Texas 293 days;

Nebraska 197 days.

California really isn't that bad in reality.

You can also check out timelines to check latest NOA2 approvals

Case in California was filed July 28, 2021 and approved March 7, 2022.

Case in Nebraska was filed May 24, 2021 and approved March 7, 2022.

The center you're assigned to does not guarantee a speedy or slow approval.

Why does no one ever show Potomac service center? That is where mine is and it worries me that only NSC, CSC, TSC and VSC ever gets mentioned.

Is there something special or anything about Potomac?

I get Nebraska and Potomac confused...

I think one is NBC the other is NSC

NSC: 288

NBC: 197

yeah Potomac down 3 months...wish it was more, lol

me too :( it's good news but the current trend I'm seeing for Potomac is around 12 months without filing a K3. Surely it can't stay at this pace... ?
