Hi!

I had my I-751 interview to remove the conditions of my green card on 02/24/2022 but no decision has been made yet. I went together with my husband.
Interview went well, it lasted about 10 minutes.
Officer only asked basic questions like full name, address, where are we working, if we have kids, etc.
But said he still has to look the evidences.
My question is: can I still travel outside the country while the decision is pending?
How long does it take to make a decision?
I have my passport stamped with I-551 until November 2022.

Thanks a lot

Don't know if you travelled as yet. Your LPR status is still valid as long as its pending or approved.

If you are denied while abroad your LPR status is no longer valid.

My non-expert thoughts would be do not travel with extension letter once you have had your interview.

Poking around the web it seems like the risks are:

* being processed as an arriving alien instead of as a returning resident. CBP would take the gc and extension letter and replace it with an I-551 stamp or standalone I-94 with I-551 stamp.

* being immediately given a notice to appear.
