You can check the status at CEAC using the DOS case number.  NVC sends an email when the case has been document qualified and in the queue for an interview.   Once the case has reached the from of the queue for your consulate, NVC will schedule the interview, then send the case to the consulate.

Hi,

I'm  a U.S citizen and I recently submitted a DS260 and Affidavit of Support along with required Civil documents to the NVC, my question is how would I get notified of the next steps and how do track the progress of the application?

I was told 3 months from the date you submitted your info. If you submitted today, NVC will review your case aprox. On June 7. Your status says "submitted" and when they review, it will say "accepted". Hey, did you upload marriage certificate, birth certificate, passport in Petitioner's documents?

"Current case review time: As of 7-MAR-2022, we are reviewing documents submitted to us on 3-DEC-2021."

Thanks for the info, no I didn't in the petitioner's documents. I did that for the applicant's documents though.

I had some issues in petitioner's document and I only submitted W2 and tax info, but then I asked about those documents and I was answered to upload them just in case, because if later on they ask for them, one then has to resubmit and delay the case. At first I only uploaded finacial documents, I bombarded then with every document that the list has. Im thinking that I sent too much unsolicited documents🙄

I had done the same but when I had my lawyer review it he removed the extra documents. Then I looked at the official website and found this screenshot for birthcertificate/passport requirement. So It made sense not uploading them

I already uploaded them and there is no way to remove them. I think I even delayed my case by uploaded them 2 weeks apart from submitting the financial support documents. I also think it won't harm my petition. How did your lwayer remove them.

Yes, I agree it won't harm it.

The lawyer was able to remove it because it wasn't submitted yet.

I don't think that would have delayed it but I'm not sure.
