Sounds like you are well organized and ready. Cross your fingers that NVC gets you moved out quickly.  The London instructions will tell you to wait for a letter from them before you begin anything. However you will not need their letter for anything. So once your status on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV says “Ready” your case is in London and you can start looking for appointments on the calendar. The first day it says ready, it may say your number is wrong so you might have to try the next day.  From London embassy:

After you have attended your medical examination, you should then schedule your visa interview through the Visa Appointment Service website at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv and follow these instructions:

  • Select “I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment”;

Shortcut:You don’t need to wait on the letter, just say you have it. And you don’t have to attend the medical before picking an interview. With a medical on Monday, your blood work could be back from the lab and your results to the embassy by Thursday but with Easter weekend starting, it would probably best to try for an appointment the next week. April 19-22 for a smoother process with you medical results already there and associated with your case. The embassy is closed Good Friday and Easter Monday.  That’s still going to be faster than if you waited around for a letter of instruction or finished your medical before even looking at the interview calendar.

As far as your work history, try to be as accurate as possible. It’s mostly biographical info to see if you have worked as a bomb maker or have specialized scientific or technology experience where they would need to put you though an additional security check. Otherwise, they aren’t evaluating if you ever worked or how long you did. It’s more about making sure your skills won’t be a threat or terroristic.

This has turned me into a well organised individual haha yeah, I’m now checking every day to see if our case has been sent yet. Question, seeing as my case is still with NVC would I still be able to register and have a look at interview appointments? Or do I have to wait until I see ready in order to go on that website and register?

I’ve been as accurate as humanly possible with my employment history so let’s hope for the best. You know what worries me is one of the questions asks for a 5 year phone number history, but if I provide my old phone number I’m sceptical as who knows who has that number now!

Currently in the process of finalising all vaccines before the medical.

I have had a Td shot, but since this was over 10 years ago I'll be going to my GP today to get a booster.

I've also had two MMR shots - the last one was over 10 years ago, but from what I see I do not need a booster shot right? It's just two for life?

Will avoid the flu shot as medical will be certainly after flu season!

You have to wait until the system lets you in. It will give your error messages, say your case number is invalid….things like that until it’s time. Computer say No!  Do you remember that old comedy skit?

Don’t  overthink the phone numbers. They aren’t going to call somebody.

Hey, I've just done a quick search and it appears that you don't need an MMR booster if you've got proof you had both doses as a child. And yeah, TD needs a booster but you're getting that sorted :)

Someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong please!

Hi guys it's me again :)

I'm kind of stressing out as I've just seen my gp and they have no record of any of my vaccinations, nothing at all!

Today my doctor administrated, Hep A, Diphtheria, Polio and Tetanus and Typhoid.

Just a question, I have a list of vaccinations and I'm wondering do I actually need all of those when I adjust my status. Please if anyone can help me with exactly which shots I need as I'm so confused

Thank you :)

I got an immunity test which showed what immunizations I've had are still active in my system, then the doctor gave me the remaining ones (I had to just get tetanus and a flu shot)

The doctor will know which ones you need.
