Ok so let's say after 1 year goes by putting me at 3 years as a LPR but I still haven't received my 10 yr GC can I still apply for my citizenship?!

Yes, as long as you remain married to a US citizen spouse for the whole 3 years since getting your green card. That is our case, we have both a ROC and naturalization pending at this time. Our n400 is scheduled for an interview on May 16th. Hopefully they will adjudicate our ROC case at the same appointment as we have both cases pending.

Ok excellent thank you for the information! So to confirm if I leave the US at any point to travel while my ROC is pending I will bring my Expired GC along with my Extension Letter for reentry?

That's great news and good luck with your interview! The end of a long road!

Yes, an expired conditional green card with an unexpired extension letter equals proof of your legal permanent residency allowing you to board aircraft to and to re-enter the USA. Also CGC and extension letter is LPR proof for a new job and to renew your driver's license.

If your i751 case goes for more than two years after your extension letter you can get an i551 stamp in your passport. If you have an i751 pending your LPR does not run out but proof of your LPR can run out.
