I thought AOS, from anything other than immigrant visas eg  K-1 etc, was CR-6? My Boy just got his GC and it reads CR-1 yet he AOSed from B1/B2.

 

Or is AOS from B1/ B2 CR-1??

 

Or am I wrong?

No a B1/B2 is not a CR1. The reason why you got a CR1 green card is because when you were approved you were married under 2 years.
CR means Conditional Resident. So now 90 days before your 2 year green card expires you will need to file for Removal of Conditions to get the 10 year green card.

It should have been CR6 but even if it is CR1 i don't think you need to ask for correction. They both are conditional GCs for spouses of USCs.

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

Won't that  bring issues later at I-751?

It should not pose a problem as it's not a material error. However in doubt no hurt in asking for replacement, uscis could still send with CR1 category though.
