It is ok to return the checklist and DS 230, plus other stuff to the Embassy before getting the medical exam and police cert. done. I did this too. I received Packet 3 on Dec 18 and I sent it back on 19. I waited until I was informed the interview date which is on Nov 30. I had the police cert. done on Dec 24 and I planned to get the medical exams done on Nov 15. No problem.

Hello All,

Today I got more good news from the IV unit in BKK...via email:

Dear Sir,

The IV Unit in Bangkok has just received the above captioned case in the system on October 30, 2006. Please allow some weeks for data entry and delivery of the Packet 3. The Packet 3 which is an instruction letter will be mailed to this address:

<They had the correct address! <haha>>

Is this address still valid? Please verify.

I'm counting my blessings, because the timeline for AAm-n-I has not been bad thus far, compared to some of the stories that I've read on here. We're just around 100 days or so total processing time.

More good news is that I will be with AAm in BKK on 17/11! We'll fill out packet 3 together while I'm there for 2 weeks.

So far so good! :)

Sounds like many people in this thread have had perfect success by doing that. I believe I know which forms to send etc...just have one question (for now):

Is this the right address to send the forms to? Is there anything 'extra' that you might be able to tell me from your experiences?

Yes, it's Thai regular postal service. Packet 3 reached me in 2 days (I'm in the outskirts of Bangkok).

Well as for the Cambodian applicant, they will sent it to the petitioner in the US. So I'm not sure about this. As for Thai resident/beneficiary they sent them to the beneficiary home.

Hello All,

I am going to Thailand for the last two weeks of November. My wife-2-B should receive her package 3 in the mail while I am there. However, in case it isn't there, I have a question about the medical exam.

I've heard on here that the medical forms on the Embassy website are incomplete. We'll be in Chiang Mai. Does anyone here know if the embassy approved doctors in Chiang Mai have the complete set of forms in their office? I believe the docs in BKK have the forms in their office...but I'm not sure if that is the case in CM.

Another question: I read that in Packet 3, the DS-157 is not required unless you are a male between 16-45. I'm just bringing my fiancee, no one else.

The DS-157 is on the Thai Embassy's K-1 Visa Pkt 3 download (I guess because it could apply to many fiances/fiancees who would be bringing kids with them.).

Am I correct in thinking that my fiancee would not have to fill this form out?

Well I just completed the packet 3 forms and ready to sent off to my fiance. I couldn't wait for the packet 3 to be here so. As for the DS-157 I would just fill it out anyway. If they need it then you'll have it ready. If not then you can just keep it. It won't hurt to fill one out. Well that's what I did anyway. Planning to sent her the downloaded version of packet 3 tomorrow. If, when I shall recieve the packet 3 by the embassy. If it's different then I'll sent her the new one. Hope this help.
