We went for Dao's AOS appoint today... see the Sawasdee AOS thread.

One note: we were asked for a compleeted I-693A in the sealed envelope as her DS-3025 indicated she needed to complete her vaccinations.

Ty

I just saw someone else who went through Atlanta had that happen. Just goes to show you never know what will happen.

Stone I was planning to go there as well but some people on here say that it is very important. I'm just afraid that if I buy the ticket the interview date might change up on me. If I don't go I know she will go with her mother. I would also like to go when I know that her visa has been approved. I'm happy for you that your interview date is 9/18. I like a lot of the other vj's have been recalled but I'm reapproved but I don't know when it was sent or has been sent to Bangkok yet. All I know that is they received her DS230 already. Hopefully the interview will be soon in late sept or early October.

Hello Stone,

I would recomend you to be there. The lady at window 5 can be a real bear and 1 mistake with her and she will really shake your girl up. We had 2 meetings with her and a friend of mine also had 2 meetings (she was alone at the interview and she was shook up). If she gets the nice man as we got at window 6 you will be ok.

I would say calm down and Jai yen yen. All will be ok.

Hi my name is Brandon. The question I am asking is probably on this thread somewhere, but it is a lot to go through. My fiancee is cambodian, and all cambodian cases has to be processed at the Bangkok embassy. I'm trying to find out the address to mail the Packet 3 checklist to the Bangkok embassy. Can anyone please help me, I would appreciate it, thanks. Oh one more question, does everything on the checklist has to be done before she send the checklist?

Well thank you in advance for whoever answers these questions.

Brandon

Sorry I have been on for a while.

No you do not have to have everything before you send in the checklist, just be sure to have it for the interview.

Here is the address to send checklist.

Hey has anybody used an advance parole document before. We don't have the green card yet but have to go to thailand tomorrow. The thai passport still has her old name in it but everything else has the new name. Would we have to get in the visitor line or resident line at customs?

didnt they approved her GC at the interview? and did they stamp somehting on her passport saying she's apporved for the GC?

They did mine and told I could use that just like a GC.. to work and come back in the country.. but i really hae to use it.

Called and I-551 stamp.. We are hoping to receive one tomorrow! :)

Well we made it back from bangkok today. All we needed was the 2 advance parole forms to get through immigration in dallas. We had to wait in a special room with all the other special cases but after about 30 minutes we got the stamp on her I512-l form and off we went. One word of caution though if you fly through Tokyo. If you fly standby like me you have to have a transit visa for anyone holding a thai passport. We had to buy a refundable ticket just to prove she would not get stuck in tokyo without a visa, now i have to get my money backon the ticket. All because we didn't have a confirmed ticket. Anybody ever get a transit visa for tokyo before?? Thanks everyone, Kn J

My wife was admitted to the US on a k-3 visa she received from Thailand. We frequently travel back and forth from the US to Thailand spending about 3 months in each location. We now have the option to start the AOS here in the US (Las Vegas) or to continue with the immigrant visa processing (ir/cr-1) in Thailand. I have been looking for a topic that is more related to K-3 visa's and Thailand but have only found this one. Does anyone have any input as to which process is faster/cheaper/easier to pursue?

If someone could point me to a more appropriate thread for discussing this, that would be most appreciated.
