Amy,

One click finds 7 of them, although most are not active (and they may not all be K1s - I didn't look further).

In your info box to the left of your posts, under your name, in the 'country' line, click on the word 'Laos' - it's a hyperlink.

Yodrak

HI! I'm new on here and I've just begun the K-1 visa process. I've got all the forms and have started to fill them out. There's no one on the visajourney that is going through the K-1 visa through Laos. And I'm hoping the Laos process is similar to the Thailand process. So hopefully you guys can help me out. :)

[...] The woman was sent to a 'secondary inspection' and during the 'interview' had to show the Thai immigration officer documents that she had from her amphur affirming that she was the sole custodian and supporter of her son as the father had abandoned them years ago and his whereabouts was unknown. (She had originally obtained these documents in order to get her son a Thai passport.)

Bill, that is esentially what I also told you in this Post. Has your fiancee obtained a passport for her daughter yet? If you can answer that question, it will really help. As I told you before, getting the passport is the hard part. If she doesn't have a passport, or her daughter have a passport, she needs to get them as soon as possible. If she doesn't have a passport for her daughter, it will take some time. Several days of running around, and then another week for the passport to arrive. Where is your fiancee located? She can easily apply for a passport in either Chiang Mai or Bangkok.

Good luck!

ANy help is appreciated Pond and I seem to be disagreeing about what we do now.

She received packet 3 in the mail last week she then went to the embassy and they took her DS-230. Her was done yesterday and her police record will be finished August 25th..

Now what? she thinks we have to wait for more mail from the embassy. Do we just wait or do we have to turn in packet 3?
