Dan,

Thanks I will print and attach my online statements. Another fat stack of papers for my fiancee......

By the time I put the original I129f pettion and packet 3 together, I'm gonna end up with a file about 3 inches thick for the interview. the amount of paper is ridiculous.

Wan emailed me copies of the entire packet 3. I noticed along with the I134 affidavit of support, the embassy also suggests I send a notarized letter including more financial information.

Did anyone actually do this in addition to the I134???

Did anyone have their past tax transcripts/returns notarized???

thanks

Mike I had the same problem with Union Bank of CA. I just used some online statements, plus the letter from the bank stating That I am good standing.

Dan

Hey thai2luv, I never heard of notarized tax returns, I didn't need them. Financial info I just printed from the online sites like Fidelity or E-Trade. Had no problem. Good luck.

I met my honey in Iloilo!!!

Hi everyone outhere,

I am coming from Cambodia through Thailand. The embassy will send packet3 to the US and then my fianced will receive it. It will take a long time. I would like to move a little faster now that my file at the embassy. I would like to send the check list to the embassy right now. Questions:

1. Is this the correct address for the check list to be sent to:

Cambodian Immigrant Visa Processing Unit

Consular Section

95 Wireless Road

Bangkok 10330

THAILAND

2. Is the statement of income from the employer from 2005? and be notarized?

3. Will the embassy accept the co-sponsor?

Thanks

I am not sure about the process thru Cambodia, but as for Thailand, you only need send the the following in response to the Packet 3:

Completed Checklist

Completed DS230 part 1

Copy of Passport

2 passport size photos

Everything else, including the I134 affadavit of Support, will be presented at time of interview.

Of course the process may not be exactly the same for Cambodia.

Sarakong

it is the same for cambodians.

you have the address right

only thing that has to be notorized is the I-134

cosponsor fills out a I-134 same as you. Turn them in at the interview.

They will send you a list of what they want and the order that they want it.

Sarakong,

If you haven't done so already, go ahead and download all the forms from the Bangkok Embassy website.

Complete the "online" DS156 with the barcode. Otherwise, you may have problems when they check your paperwork prior to the interview. At least, that is what I was told.

I don't think the letter from your employee need be notarized.

A cosponsor should be ok.

I've already completed all the forms and am putting the whole package together to send to my fiancee.

Good Luck to you.....

All the forms are here for download on this site. They are in PDF format and if you have all the information with you. You can fill them out online then print them. It helps if they look neat. If you have Acrobat Pro you can save the forms to fill out at a later time. If you follow the check list on this site you should have no problems.

A few months ago as we started down this process I was worried about everything. "Is my income enough" "Do I need to have more money in the bank" "Should I hire a lawyer" and many more. All of that worry was not needed. At the time other member who had mad it through the interview and were well on the way to an AOS told me not to worry everything will be ok. Well now I find myself telling you this

"Don't Worry Everything Will Be Ok"

The only thing I have to worry about now is picking my socks up off the floor.

Ok I have a question. I may have missed this form an earlier day or another post.

11/15/05: Well today we got our NOA2. What good news that is.

11/19/05: I leave for Thailand to see Su again

Now that is one big can of worms...

Maybe my fiancee should get a visa for Mexico, and once she arrives, just stroll across the border into my open arms. hahhaha

There was plenty heated debate over on the "Off Topic" forum. You might want to go there and take a look. What I came away from it with was the following: if you start brining up the illegal immigration problem, it will only bring the WHOLE immigration problem to the surface, along with "mail-order-brides", visa fraud, and everything else. When they start throughing out the numbers of Immigrants in the country right now, it makes everyone raise an eye. Best for us to just stay out and continue what we're doing, i.e. "legal immigration", and let the rest of them fight it out. We don't want them to start focusing their attention on people like us as well.

Thanks everyone,

I agreed with all your guys opinions and stay quiet. and thanks for all info.

thai2luv,

I am not sure whether DS-156 whith bar code or without bar code. On the website, there are two forms. I tink either one must be good. Can I just down load the printable one without bar code because I can do it on the computer and print it instead of filing out on the internet. Did you file the e-form and file on the internet? Thanks

Sarakong,

You need to fill out the electronic DS-156 on the State Dept. website. The link on the BNK website takes you right to it. It is important you fill out and take the form with the barcode on it to the interview!

Another member had problems because of not taking the correct form.

My bank, Citibank, has a standard financial information form for immigration purposes. this form does not include deposits made for the past 12 months. The bank rep ran on about a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo and would not include it on the form.

Anyone else run into this issue? Any ideas on what I should do, other than change banks?

Do you have access to your statements on-line? Any way to print those out and attach to the imigration form from Citibank?

Does the letter from the bank itself is good enough? Anybody can confirm?

Thanks.

Last year I took a similar letter from my bank, copies of some monthly statements and I also had my local branch print out an account summary that had current balance, date the account was open and that it was never overdrawn.

We didn't have any problems.
