From what I was just told, the Packet 4 is only confirmation of your interview date. If you already have an interview date confirmed with the Embassy, and have all your paper work complete, it's problably not much of a concern.

Good luck with the interview.

Hey guys, I haven't recieved the packet 4 yet, and our interview is in about 6 weeks. Should I be concerned? Should I contact the embassy about not recieving it yet?

Thanks all.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement. Yeah, it's pretty cold here in maryland compared to thailand, lol. C is freezing but she's handling it pretty well. She's wearing gloves inside the house and when she sleeps, lol.

The process at the border was painless. We flew to JFK to get the temp work authorization and did end up getting it. I went through the non-USC line with her and the process consisted of her submitting her folder and passport to the first officer, who did the initial processing. He was all business and after finishing with him we then had to go through the 2nd checkpoint where they did the final processing. No problems here either, it's a checkpoint about 100meters from the other one and they appeared to be the supervisors. After about a 5minute wait we were told "good luck" and we left.

After getting our luggage we had to then go through customs which I was a little nervous about since I had about 150 DVD's in my luggage that I bought in burma. I had shipped all my software to avoid having that confiscated. My nervousness was pointless since we were checked through in about 3 seconds.

My parents met us at the airport and arranged baloons and flowers for C which was great for her. She has met them before since they had lived in Thailand and I actually met C through my dad. After a 5hour drive and a stop at cracker barrel for some american style food we reached home.

We're still adjusting to the time change though and we both keep waking up at 3am,lol.

Now it's on for the AOS and for me to find a job!

In my previous post to you, I said it shouldn't be much of a concern. However, I do suggest you ctc the embassy and have them send it again (assuming it was sent the first time).

My file is being sent to Bangkok. Please help how can I track it with DHL? How you guy do it?

Here are the basics:

Goto: www.dhl.com

Select: Track by Reference

Type in Reference: (Depends on Embassy) Use any of the following three keywords:

I-730

EXPEDITE NIV SECTION (Maybe Non-Immigrant Visas)

EXPEDITE IV SECTION (Maybe Immigrant Visas)

Put the range of dates around the date that NVC gives you as package has been shipped.

Look for any of the packages sent to BNK. There is no gaurantee that it will acutally be your package, but if you see a package sent on the date they told you, then it could possilby be yours.

On the date they said they sent mine, I got two "hits". One for the EXPEDITE NIV and one for the EXPEDITE IV, so I assumed one of them was mine!

Hope this helps.

Robert

My bank, Citibank, has a standard financial information form for immigration purposes. this form does not include deposits made for the past 12 months. The bank rep ran on about a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo and would not include it on the form.

Anyone else run into this issue? Any ideas on what I should do, other than change banks?

I know you didn't ask for the advice but you probably hit the nail on the head. At some point it is time to change banks. I sent an email to my bank and not only did they respond with exactly what I needed but I received it the NEXT day. Now, thats customer service. You shouldn't have these kinds of problems from your bank.
