It sucks for the Americans who are stuck at the airport and can't be home with their love ones during Thanks Giving. It's getting out of hand over there with people throwing explosives at airports. Thailand is not anymore the country that I use to love so much. My company has a business over and I go there quit often to watch over the business over there, But it sucks to here there are no Flight in and out of Thailand until the PM resigns.

It's as bad or worse for Thais, I think. My SO came to Bkk for visa medical check and now can't go home to Surin because PAD thugs are blocking the roads leading east. She's dark skinned and if she heading to Isan (PPP territory), she could get beaten up or worse.

My fiancee called and was asking frantically if I'll be able to make it on 4 Dec. I told her I really don't know... I'm pretty sure my leave just went down the toilet. It's too bad it took this long and happened during this time of year for the boilover to finally start.

I'm in the marines and they're hawkeye-ing the situation right now trying to find a reason I wouldn't be able to go... I'm visiting her from the 4th to the 16th.

My timeline is up to date, unless you know I got NOA2 before I did! :) What am I forgetting?

Ohhh...IC... sorry. I thought you had it and were planning to go for the interview. Seems like everyone is getting a December interview date. haha

I just bought Anna's flight from BKK-JFK. It's a one stop flight with a three hour layover and arrives at 3:15 PM.

Total cost billed to my card was: THB 19,260, which should be about 546.69 at today's rates. Not bad! I'm planning to meet her in NY and spend a few days in Manhattan before bringing her back to Florida. One ways from JFK to SRQ can be had for under $100 right now!

FYI: The other great thing about this flight is that the change fee is $35! Perfect for a visa waiter.... it's also refundable (less $35) if somehow you found a deal that was even better.

She sent it last Thursday. They called (which I don't think is normal) her the following Monday. Not sure if she got the official packet 4 yet.

Thanks for the info. I got 22k baht for Jan. 15 09. Which is still really good. Getting from JFK to DFW is another story, but that should be the easy part.
