They called me today and said all the Embassy said was that the case was still in adminastrative review (what the heck does that mean) (and why would they tell her to come back on 20 AUG 2008 @3pm to pick up the visa if there were issues)So we have just been left hanging not knowing what to do or expect or how long its going to take!!! this is just CRUSHING, like my fieance said "its like they handed me a piece of candy and then took it away". any thoughts or comments would be grat. I need a shoulder!!

Damn, that royally sucks. I'd be outraged if it happened to me (and our timeline are identical in regards to the interview).

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice, but really hope it clears up quickly. I think just a few pages back someone mentioned it took 6 months to get through administrative review, and I know the BKK embassy is stingy with information and prefers to keep people in the dark rather than let them know what's going on and what they can expect.

For your email to the embassy, did you use the "magic" bkk2 address? I could never get a response from the address published on their site.

What is the "magic" BKK2 e-mail address?

What does the bkk2 address do for you, has anyone used it with any sucsess???

Yes we've had success with it, otherwise it wouldn't be "magic" :)

Good luck and you do know the correct format required to send an email to the embassy and get a response, correct? If you don't format it correctly you just get an automated response.

The format should be s"ecound or third or fourth attempt CASE#bkk---------- her name" ??? correct? please let me know if this is correct

thanks

? I don't understand. Are you asking how many attempts you personally have made at sending the email and what number you should put, or are you asking for the format AGAIN?

I had already posted the format you need to read what I put and it has the format there for sending emails already.

Hello, my first post here, been lurking about for the past 3 months now, but I have been picking up so much valuable information and helpful hints on filing my own K1 petition. And today, I just spent I-129F for K1! Hopefully everythings will turn up ok. Thanks all for helping me with my first hurdle through the K1 processing track...

Hello, and welcome. I am new here, too, but I have finished the I-129F part already and we are about to start the AOS.

As I am sure many in this forum can attest, it's a slow going in the beginning, but once you make it thru that part, it's smooth sailin'. I say this because after this initial part of separation, the rest is taken on together, and that's FUN!

Good luck!

Welcome to both of you! May everyone's journey be fun.

In this process, there's no such thing as a "fun" journey, so the best you can hope for is a fast journey, without too many pot holes!

Thai Airways Problem

I bought a ticket using ORBITZ for my Fiance. It is an E-TICKET which I thought would be no problem.

She saw a post on Pantip.com saying that for Thai Airways you must show the credit card used for the purchase to

board the plane. This is obviously impossible.

She called Thai Airways and they confirmed this. I checked Thai airways website and confirmed it myself. Needless to say she is very upset as she was scheduled to leave on Thursday.

I will never fly TG again.

Be careful about where you buy your tickets.

Can you send her the credit card via express mail? Or does it have to have her name on it? Will they except copies (notarized) of the credit card?

Double check with Orbitz. My experience is you only have to show a credit card when purchased direct from the airline, not when you purchase from a travel agent, which I believe Orbitz qualifies as. I don't have experience with Thai Airways, but this has been the case with China Air, Eva, and Cathay. I don't think there's any way for Orbitz to "pass" you credit card information to the airline as that would violate privacy laws.

I just purchased my fiancee's ticket from China Air. My normal travel agent (in the US) was unable to get me the same price that they were quoting if you purchased direct on their website. I couldn't buy direct due to the credit card rule (Theirs also requires the card holder be at least one of the parties traveling), so I ended up using a Thai travel agent, who could get a rate almost as low as the website.

Everything appears to have gone through good, and even though I paid by credit card online, the ticket confirmation shows I paid cash. ;-)

I also recently purchased a ticket with Nok Air for my fiancee (for the interview in Bangkok), which requires you show the credit card at check-in. I was able to call them, and after some back and forth, just emailed them a scan of my passport and credit card, and everything was fine.

For my fiance's ticket, I used my travel agent. My fiance wired me money and I paid for the ticket here in cash.

Since we booked it here, all my fiance has to do is show her passport and her itinerary at the check-in deck right?

Thanks

That would be how I think it would work, but if you are concerned, give the travel agent a call to confirm.

Hi All,

Question can the medical and police record be done before noa2 is issued? yes or no. thank you

Raptore,

You ALREADY asked this question four days ago, and we ALREADY answered you. In fact, we had a fairly lengthy conversation about this...

Stop being so critical towards people, this can be confusing stuff and people just want to make sure they are doing things correctly.

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
