I wouldn't count on anything until it arrives at the embassy and they have scheduled an interview. Once the interview is scheduled and packet 3 is in order as well as medical and shots, the only thing that could delay it is a death in the Royal family.

I don't know about that. My interview got pushed back 3 weeks after it was originally scheduled due to President Bush visiting Thailand. :-)

/Currently waiting for the interview results. It was scheduled for almost 2 hours ago.

Hi everybody,

I got my noa 2 on august 11 and now i need alittle advice.

i have made out the I 134 and and have 05,06,07 tax returns

and i have proof of ongoing relationship. i need a letter signed from the bank now.

am i missing anything?

i`ll call dos tomorrow for new case number ,and to see when packet left and arrived in Bangkok.

is it good evidence to show proof that i send my SO money every month to help pay bills?

I only sent a copy of my most recent tax return w/associated W-2s, a copy of my bank statements from my various accounts, a couple of pay stubs, and letter from my employer. Since you're self-employed, I guess you can write one for yourself?!

As you can see, the people from outside this thread say not to show evidence that you send money to help pay bills, whereas the people who have gone through BNK have shown evidence of support, including myself. I can see both sides of the argument, but given my wife's employment history and education, I wasn't afraid of the CO mistaking her for a bar girl looking for a plane ticket to the US. It was simply money to help with expenses and show I was serious about taking care of her.

Does anyone knows the average waiting period for a case on Administrative Processing from Bangkok Embassy? My case is over 5 months of AP since the interview.

Man that sucks, sorry to hear about the Visa in AP! I would assume each case is different so not sure of an average time of wait for this type of processing.

We had a similar process occur when my Father-in-Law's B2 visitor's visa was also put into Admin Review. What we did was email the US Embassy( Subject line would be something like "2nd or 3rd NIV Inquiry case number and name of applicant ) . Each and everytime they would status us of the case. Eventually it took 6 months before we got the approval for father - in - Law. We emailed them a total of 4 times during the wait.

I would try and email them for status, good luck with it all.

I think I'd email them 5 to 6 times already...and all replies are same: "Case is still under AP; we will let you know when completed." I even wrote to my Congress to assist me; and they got same reply. I don't know what else to do except wait...I guess...

So just an update, we got approved for the K1 visa! She has to go back on Wed to pick it up.

Questions Asked:

- How did we meet?

- What did we do the first time we saw each other?

- How long after the first time until we met again?

- How long did I stay the second time?

- How many times have I come?

- How do we talk to each other?

- When did I first discuss marriage?

- When did she accept?

- When did I last visit?

I was real worried they would have a problem with the fact she is nearly 10 years older than me. For "Proof of Relationship" we provided:

- Around 1 dozen photos

- I sent a screen shot of my email program showing an assortment of email subjects/dates.

(I created a folder and dragged only a few into the folder so they could see emails spread across the years. I figured no reason for them to read the email or see every one)

- Print out showing a couple different months calls, spread several months apart.

(Vonage records all calls, and allows you to generate a report based on time range and phone number called or phone number calling you)

- Western Union receipts

- A collection of airline ticket stubs from when we flew together, and any hotel reservations that showed both our names.

And since this seems to be a common question, for the proof of financial support we provided:

- 3 years tax transcripts

(Free from the IRS, order via automated phone system)

- A letter from my employer

- 2 pay stubs

- No bank details

- No stock/investment details

- No listing of assets

Never mind on the EAD question. I see you can apply for it, but technically it expires at the end of 90 days, and usually before your AOS can be processed and new EAD granted. So you get to work for 90 days, then quit, and then work again later.

That's really good news, shawndoc. Congratulations to you and your finance!

I am so sorry to hear you are still being left waiting. That must be so hard. I wish I had the magic answer, but can only offer you my thoughts and prayers.

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
