Hi Jer. :) I know you'll get some good advice on Bankok here. I'm just being nosey. ;)

i'm going to assume the answer your $$ question is 'no'. Sending money to ones fiance can be perceived in many ways by the CO.

Does anyone knows the average waiting period for a case on Administrative Processing from Bangkok Embassy? My case is over 5 months of AP since the interview.

Man that sucks, sorry to hear about the Visa in AP! I would assume each case is different so not sure of an average time of wait for this type of processing.

We had a similar process occur when my Father-in-Law's B2 visitor's visa was also put into Admin Review. What we did was email the US Embassy( Subject line would be something like "2nd or 3rd NIV Inquiry case number and name of applicant ) . Each and everytime they would status us of the case. Eventually it took 6 months before we got the approval for father - in - Law. We emailed them a total of 4 times during the wait.

I would try and email them for status, good luck with it all.

To tell you the truth, about the money thing, I have heard conflicting answers to this question.

Some have said it's good to show that you financially support her as that can HELP to prove you have a relationship (although I disagree with that, as I can send money to an individual correspondent in a humanitarian aid group to show my support and that doesn't mean I have an intimate relationship with that person).

Others say the embassy looks down upon it, as it's showing the fiance cannot take care of herself, thus more likely a chance she becomes a public charge.

So in a nutshell, I'm really not too sure about this, and I don't really have a personal opinion on the matter, but hopefully someone else here will.

There's no need for a bank letter as long as your income is above the poverty level. Just tax transcripts and a letter from your employer should be enough.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

I think its good to have copies of the western union. It shows YOU can take care of her.....

Although we are already married, I have bank statements of the bank account I have for her and the ATM card my wife uses.

As far as the bank goes, go to the bank with your years worth of statements. Add the totals up for deposits and balance.

Have them type a letter on their letterhead stating for the previous 12 months, you deposited X amount of dollars. you've had an account with them since X, and have them notarize it. Put these, for all your accounts, along with a letter from your boss stating how long you've been employed and how much you make in a year . Add these with your tax forms......The purpose is to prove you can support her and she wont be a ward of the state......welfare that is.

I don't want to discourage you at all, so I'm trying to think logically here. First of all, fill out your timeline, as I have no idea when you sent your I-129f petition to USCIS, nor do i know what service center you sent this to. This is all relevant information in determining about how long your process will take.

If you sent it in on June 1st, you may be looking at an October, november, or december NOA 2 date. OR if processing goes faster than what it is going at now, maybe you could get your NOA 2 in September. From the NOA2 you have to wait for it to be sent to NVC, then from NVC to the embassy, then you gotta deal with all the packet 3 stuff being sent in, then when that's sent in, you gotta wait for the interview date which could be scheduled anywhere from realistically 2-4 months just for an interview date. Sorry man but I really don't think it's possible that she'll be over here BEFORE December or IN December. I hope, of course, for your sake that she is. Hopefully you filed at CSC as VSC is taking longer to process now than CSC.

I wouldn't count on anything until it arrives at the embassy and they have scheduled an interview. Once the interview is scheduled and packet 3 is in order as well as medical and shots, the only thing that could delay it is a death in the Royal family.

Look at my time line, 1 week short of a year to get my wife here.

Hi Jer,

My packet that I sent may have been super overkill, but I provided 2005 & 2006 1040's, copy of the W-2's, statement for bank, letter of employer, past two pay stubs and tax document showing tax value of real estate holdings. As far as ongoing relationship I never provided any information or even hinted at any sort of financial support for her.

Cheers,

Alvin
