Anyone have any idea what happens if, because of the idiots working at the police station, my fiance doesn't have her police report before her interview or at her interview?

The interview probably gets PUSHED back another 2-3 months?

This is unreal, it's like we're getting screwed over because these morons can't even do their jobs correctly.

I am SO angry, it's like the interview is in less than two weeks and this is happening.

I don't even know what to do.

Have you been reading this thread lately??? Dagobert just went through that exact same scenario about a week or two ago and kindly posted all the details of how it has worked out for them so far. Just turn in the police report any Monday during the specified times and then wait for the visa to be processed, assuming everything else goes fine during the interview...

Littleasianman,

Yep, Jessica&Lute are correct. Go to the interview and you will be requested to bring the additional information on any Monday between 13:00 and 15:00. My fiancee delivered her police certificate this past Monday, and now is just waiting for them to contact her when she can pick her visa up. It really wasn't as big a deal as I feared it was. It will prolong the process, but only a few days to a week at most I am guessing.

Cheers,

Alvin

Hi, I had my interview last June 23, 2008. Simple questions asked like how did you first meet your fiance? Are you both engaged?(he glanced on my ring finger) Do you have any wedding plans? The Officer is nice but a bit tired he told me everything is fine just my NBI (police clearance) in the Philippines which doesn't have any dry seal(why they are going to write not valid without dry seal if they are not going to put dry seal on it grrr) and no thumbprint(silly me I should have bought black stamp pad and put my thumbprint on my NBI). So I was scheduled to submit the NBI (police clearance) on Monday July 1, 2008 1 to 3 pm. I asked him if I can submit that NBI earlier than Monday he said they only accept documents every Monday. We took that officers feedback as positive and we are crossing our fingers to get my visa soon.

Must be one of the "perks" of living in California (along with the inflated salaries, right?)

When I called the CS office nearest to my home, they told me to come in between 9 am and 4 pm and let them know it was for immigration physical. Any day, no appointment necessary. The only glitch was that the admin that made sure all the paperwork was completed ended up getting ill (hospitalized) and was out for the week following Rin's visit. No one else in the office (not a small office as four of them are listed as CS) had a clue as to how to do this admin's paperwork. So we had to wait until she returned. I actually felt sorry for her as her boss was taking work to her in the hospital. She got out on a Friday and called me at my house Saturday morning to let me know I could come by and get Rin's paperwork.

BTW - the immunization transcribing onto the I-693 was included in Rin's $117.50 (it was $30/child as they did not have an exam). Does your CS actual charge additional for that when you are also having a medical with them? What a crock....

hmm inflated salaries...sure doesn't seem like it! wow that's a pretty crazy story poor administrator compiling work from her hospital bed. thankfully it all worked out for your family at a bargain price if i do say so myself.

btw thanks so much for the link to the other thread i think i may have found a less expensive alternative.

The website still says June 11 and has not been updated. When will they update the website? I tried to email the embassy twice but just get the automated response. I am paying their salary with MY tax dollars and I cannot even get a response!

John, they post the interview dates about once a month so they will post again around July 11th. The interview date is about 12 weeks after they receive the Packet 3 information. It takes about a month before they mail Packet 4 to your fiancee. If you don't do the subject line of the email correct they will not respond. But I have written them at least 7 times and I have gotten a personal response from them each time. Sometimes it takes a couple days but they get back to me.

Jessica and Lute,

Yes I have been reading this thread, which is why you see my posts on here from time to time.

I must have either not seen dagoberts thread about that, or I just don't remember.

Well that's good news then, thanks dagobert.

What email address are you using? Maybe they just like me!!! I only use visasbkk2@state.gov and not the other one without the 2 in it.

Didn't know there was a visasbbk2 email address. I will try sending to that one.

The secret address (not really). Just make sure the subject line is 1st IV INQUIRY, your BNK case # and your full name. You might not hear back until tomorrow but don't sweat it. They have been very nice to me even calling my fiancee to tell her how to make sure to do something.

Hi John,

How long did it take from the return of Packet 3 to the interview date?

My fiancee returned packet 3 early June... still no word on an interview.

___________________________________________

We just found out the kids K-3 interview date today, June 24th. It is scheduled for July 24th, in just four weeks! Her packet three was received by the embassy on June 7. I think packet four arrived where she gets her mail on Monday or Tuesday. You can expect good news any day now in her mailbox.

I tried to email the embassy twice but just get the automated response.

How did you find out about the interview?

_____________________________________________

I have gotten the automated response about five or six times in the past ten days. One hasn't come yet from the email I sent yesterday, so I hopefully they are answering our remaining I-134 questions.

There is a lot of excitement around here. I think my son just finalized buying a ticket to Bangkok for the 8th of July, despite us trying to talk him into staying here to further work on feathering their nest. He plans to stay for six weeks.

Hang in There!
