My husband just had his medical done today in Chiang Mai, not McCormick but the other hospital. Sorry, I can't remember the name. They gave him all the forms back in an envelope that was NOT sealed. Is that ok? Does it have to be sealed when he takes it to the embassy? Please advise. Thanks.

Song,

I'd advise your husband to try and go back and get 'em sealed.

Just my 2 cents worth.....

Mariya received her GC approval tonight via email from USCIS. No interview. We sent it off Nov. 29 and they received it on Dec 2nd, 2005, so it only took two months and 20 days. they are getting much faster.

No more USCIC for two years

The following is the latest information on your case status

Congrats Sam and Mariya!!!!!

I have read in some of the timelines that some of you received an email from the embassy confirming your interview date. I did sign up for emails at USCIS but i do not remember them asking for it on the checklist or DS-230 P1.

Will they send it to the email address i gave the USCIS for the 129F application.

Obviously I am just fixated on getting SOME KIND of ackowledgement from the

embassy. I will fell so much better when i do.

Song,

My wife and stepson also had their medical exams at Chiang Mai Ram, and their envelopes were not sealed. I took the opportunity to make photocopies of all of the reports before they turned in the envelopes in at the visa interview.

I suggest that your husband take the opportunity to do the same, and examine the reports closely to be sure that all questions have been answered. The consular officer will, and will not issue the visa if the forms are not 100% complete.

Has your husband ever been pregnant?

In my 2 year-old stepson's case, the doctor had not answered the 2 Obstetrics and STD questions on DS-3026. The consular officer would not issue the visas until the doctor checked 'Yes' or 'No' for pregnancy. Rodjanaa flew back to Chiang Mai that evening, got the doctor to answer the two questions and re-sign the form first thing the next morning, flew back to Bangkok and turned in the completed form that afternoon. It was 3 more weeks before the consular officer got back to the case and issued the visas.

i'm going to have my health insurance YEY!!

Are you getting health insurance from your husband's work or from a 3rd party insurer? If its not from work who are you getting it from? I have been looking at several vendors for Paiwan, as I am self insured myself.

Mariya received her GC approval tonight via email from USCIS. No interview. We sent it off Nov. 29 and they received it on Dec 2nd, 2005, so it only took two months and 20 days. they are getting much faster.

Great news.

We just sent of Paiwan's AOS packet today. Cost me $575 in fees (we are not doing AP at this time).

Yodrak,

I'll definately have my husband look over the forms carefully. Thanks for the heads up. I would've just assumed that the doctors knew what they were doing. Apparently it's not always that way. Thanks for the info.

I was NEVER able to confirm receipt with the embassy. I couldn't even successfully track the DHL package from NH to BKK.

I received the case number from the NVC Portsmouth NH telephone number the day they "said " that they mailed it.

I waited for a while and then just had Jass send in the checklist and DS-230 P1. I was terified that they were going to throw it away because they didn't have the case yet.

You can not talk to the Embassy anymore (I've tried). Today I got through to the NVC hoping they would confirm that the Embassy had received the package and instead the very nice lady said " I see here that you were waiting for an Interview date. It was issued today. It is 4-24-06." I was delighted to see we actually had gotten an interview date. She said the package is in the mail...what package? Is this the Package 4? What is in it? I would like to get things filled out if possible in advance. Where can I get the forms?

My concern now is that the CO doesn't like the medical forms (from Japan Embassy website) that we used or the doctor didn't fill them out completely (hopefully Bumrungrad did a thorough job).

I'll keep you posted
