congratulations afterforever! hope you feel better...did you ever figure out what you had?

Thanks Kang Lang. I was told by the doctor here that a strain of flu virus on steriods was going around. He said it is taking people about 6-8 weeks to completely recover. I took a flu shot in September but the doctor said it did not work against this super flu. Hope no one here gets it. It kicked my........

Have you started your AOS yet?

wow 6-8 weeks that's a long time to be laid low but i bet it doesn't matter now that you have your visa sorted! no we had to wait a bit, some unforseen expense but we are gathering our docs and are filing this month :D. i plan to sack our attorney this week but am nervous about it. either way we will just follow the guides here and file aos on our on. can't wait to update our timeline with the next process. at least we are together for this part.

are you planning your wedding yet?

The AOS process is relatively simple if you follow the guides here. As long as you have evidence that you are married it should be easy. The hardest part is the waiting for everything.

Good luck!

yeah i think so and no matter what at least now the waiting is together rather than a whole world apart! actually if i had found this place first i would not be dealing w/ trying to sack our sub-par attorney. that's scarier than the big bad uscis frankly. thanks for the good wishes. i will be here asking loads of silly questions as we get our paperwork together.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Hello All.

It is great to see a Thailand thread.

My Fiancee is a native of Thailand but right now she is studying English in England.

A couple of questions on the G-325A. I am completeing her work history and some of the addresses in Thailand are very long. Do you shorten the address or use additional pages or what?

Are some of the addresses very long or am I misunderstanding her?

2- Native alphabet? Is this something I do by copying and pasting from translation sites?

But I have to send the G-325A back to her to sign anyway so can she fill it in herself?

Thanks so much

George

Either. She can fill it in, or you can have her spell it out in her native alphabet and then you can copy and paste

Addresses: On some of them I just put the City and Province. Must have been good enough, got our NOA2.

Native Alphabet: I just sent my fiancee 4 copies of the G-325A, had her fill out the required data in Thai alphabet and she mailed them back.

Chok dee...........

She can download the 325 herself and fill it out, then send it to you. That will save you time and postage one way. I used my fiances' full address, and yes they can be long. I added an extra sheet as per the directions for anything that won't fit. They're going to need her full address to mail her the packet 3 when you get to that. Chok dii!

This is a long, painful story so I'll just say that Wilaiwan finally arrived in Seattle(in a blizzard) on 12/21/08

Everyone....

Thanks for the quick replies and advice.

bigsky...unfortunately she only has access to a computer at school. There are 10 students and she has class from 12 to 3 and she says the computer is very old and slooooow and the other students share it also.

I just sent an email asking her to ask the teacher to download ADOBE for her because she can not open the adobe files I sent her. I filled out the 325 for her asking her questions via email but I have to wait until the next day to get her answer. If she can get Adobe that would be a huge help.

Hopefully I will have an answer tomorrow.

So did you put "see attached" in the address block and then attach it to the back of all 4 copies. (or 1 attachment per page?)

Thanks again

George

No, we have not set a date for the wedding yet. I wanted my fiancee and her children to get settled in first. I am hoping we will have a date before the end of the month though. At this point I have not even started the paperwork for the AOS. Maybe I will start that at the end of the month also.

Congratulations afterforever. Best wishes for the wedding and get well soon.

Thanks ThaiStyleUSA. I am really glad the wait for the visa is over. I think it will be a lot easier to wait for the AOS now that everyone is here. I have been procrastinating on starting the AOS. It just feels nice to be able to somewhat relax for awhile.

Good luck to you on your interview. It was very easy for us. Hopefully your finacee will have no problems.

This is so wonderful that so many have been approved at the interviews as well as many of you now have dates!

Wont be long now.

To anyone who has recently went along to the interview, what did you wear? Or what did you see people wearing?

I'm really trying to pack light so that my fiancée can use my second suitcase for more of her stuff. Because of this, I'm trying to only bring what I would need for the interview, and a couple other sets of clothes.

Suit, Tie?

Nice Pair of pants and a tucked in white shirt?

I'm just wondering what everyone wore, or saw people wearing while they were there.

I never thought about what to wear. I showed up in levi shorts and a polo shirt. Personally I do not think it matters what you wear, since your visa is approved based mainly on your paperwork. When I went, I did not see anyone dressed in a shirt and tie. Dress the way that makes you comfortable.

You welcome afterforever, I'm glad everything went well for you and your family. I feel the same way...it is much easy when you have your love one by your side forever. The rest of the process should be very simple for you. All I need is for my girl to be with me. I have not seen her since April 2007 when I was in Thailand.

Hello...

Still filling out paperwork and gathering info.

Question....On the G-325A for residence for last 5 years it says "street and number"

Do you list the address in USA as "Someroad, 1234" or is "1234 Someroad" ok?

It is just ackward looking to me and I think it confused my Fiancee when she entered her addresses.

Thailand has very long addresses with many numbers.

Thanks for your help and comments

George and Joom

Hi George, sorry I haven't replied to your Qs. I don't think I needed an extra sheet for the 325, but for the 129. I would probably attach an extra sheet for each copy as I believe they go to different places in the end.

Just write her address as you would put it on an envelope to mail it. Have you looked in the guides section of this forum? There is lots of info and samples. Good luck and feel free to PM if you need more help.

Bigsky....Thanks I checked the guides and the addresses are written like you would mail a letter.

Thanks for clearing that up. (I read and reread the guides then asked my question without looking at the guides!! oops)

((Good luck and feel free to PM if you need more help.))

Sorry I don't know what you mean by "PM" ?

But thanks

I think my biggest concern right now is getting her address in Thailand correct.

It is 8 lines long (gulp)

So I just attach a note to the 129?

Thanks again

PM= private message

Just click on"bigsky" in my window and you will see send message, you can just ask your questions here too. Probably better as there are far more experienced folks than me to help you along.

I don't remember exactly how I did everything. I filled out the forms on the computer and then printed. Anywhere that there wasn't enough room, and the little + appeared, I added an extra sheet with the heading, extra information for I-129F(for example), line(whatever #). I'd do the same for the 325 if necessary. Chok dii!
