Hey you always been helpful, thanx a lot. Already made an appointment with dr. Watcharapong sae-chere, first Doc. on the list. Spoked to a nice thai assistance in Thai for a little bit. "sawadee kap...puut pisah English, dai...mai? She was very helpful and seems like she know exactly what she was talking about. I didn't quite understand what she was refering to about the hospital number??? But at the end I finally know what she was talking about and she told me to use that number everytime my fiancee go there.

I told Robert that I helped to reply Posts, he said " I am impressed Tee Rak" :D

Dr. Watcharapong is very friendly and popular among Thai fiancees in thaivisaforum, your fiancee won't be disappointed ;)

Is anyone else having problems with the new online DS-156? When Pao goes to enter her address, part of it is "49/76" but the field wont accept slashes, so she had to write "49 slash 76", also in the business phone number field all she is entering is numbers, and it rejects the numbers and says "invalid entry- the business phone number field can only contain the following characters : A-Z, 0-9 $, ?, period, apostrophe, hyphen, and space" and numbers are all she is putting. It won't let her advance to the next page until she compltes the current page - what a nightmare!

Also we have tried various ways of getting the field to accept the numuber such as 00 000 0000 and 66 00 000 000 and even +66 00 000 0000 - no matter how we enter the number it wont accept it. It wont accept leaving the space blank, it wont accent N/A or none - its like the field will not accept anything we put into it and wont allow us to progress to the next page without filling it in - crazy!!

Bill,

I went to the DoS web site and tried to fill out the DS-156. For the address field that will not accept a slash, it will accept a hyphen. I expect that the consular section in Bangkok would understand. But writing the word 'slash' is a good alternative unless it doesn't leave enough space to complete the line.

I did not have any trouble with the phone number. I entered the numbers in some fields as 66-2-1234-5678 (numbers and hyphens) and left other phone number fields blank.

Yodrak

What I did was just put down the numbers with the space in between 011 855 0123456789, cuz when I call my fiancee I just punch in the number and not have to worried about the 011+855+0123456789 well in your case it would be just 66 2 1234 5678 I'm sure they'll know what what to do with those numbers.

As for the address, it wouldn't accept the # sign for ex. my fiance address was House# 01 street#02, all I did was just put in the space for the "#" House 01 street 02. Well you can always bring in a copy of her actual address in for reference. I was having to fix so many things on that form. It was a pain  .

Is anyone else having problems with the new online DS-156?

Hey, is there an advantage to filling out the online DS-156 as opposed to filling in the barcoded one in packet 3 and taking it to the interview? I don't quite understand the difference.

Anyone buy this PIN and visa appointment service subscription?

Also, quickly, can anyone tell me how to get my timeline as my signature?? Sorry, I been looking all over for it and can't find it!

The online version of the DS-156 is now required by the US embassy in Bangkok. My fiancee had to rush and do the online one because we found out about it just the day before her interview!

Anyone buy this PIN and visa appointment service subscription?

The PIN and visa appointment service is for non-Immigrant visa applicants only, and not used for K-1 visas. This is due to the fact that the embassy schedules the K-1 appointments for you, you cannot schedule them yourself.

I did as what Yodrak said. I typed in "123-4". I used hyphen instead of slash. As for the phone number, I put down "02-123-4567", no +66. I went for the interview today and all the documents went fine.

CONGRATS to James n Naina! That is fantastic! Ya, pack quick and don't miss the plane ;)

Hey Matt85, are you in Thailand now? AAm and I are in Shanghai, China right now, going back to BKK on 7 Dec. Thought we might bump paths if you've not already left BKK to go your wedding ceremony...

I got the confirmation email from the IV Unit today stating that they did receive our packet 3 information on 27 Nov. No interview date scheduled yet...but should be scheduled soon enough. AAm and I will drift back up to Chiang Mai around the 10th of December and get the med done, finish the rest of the paperwork (DS-156 etc) and then just wait for packet 4.

Peace to all,

Mark-n-AAm

This is interesting about the Thai Police Report...

When I was in Thailand a couple months ago, I took AAm and we got the police report done. She received it in the mail on 27 Sept. At that time, I thought the police reports were good for 6 months.

Well, after receiving the police report, I read on here that the police report was only good for 3 months. So, last week when I was in BKK, I took AAm back to get another police report, because our current one would expire on 27 December and our interview will be after that by a month or so...most likely.

So back to the police station we go. However, when we got there, they told AAm that the police reports are still valid for 6 months though. So, we didn't get a new one.

Anybody else have any different experience?

Peace to all,

Mark -N- AAm
