someone mentioned before that it's good to sent in the NVC letter and a copy of NOA2 approval letter along with the above mentioned.

Haha, funny timing you should mention that. I just found out today that I don't have the NOA2 letter. So I am hoping that it is not requested as extra information. It is not on the checklist, so theres not much else I can do but hope they don't need to see it.

After I print out the completed electronic version of DS-156 online I notice an error on my fiancee work address.

I would say change it if you have the time. It would all come down to how difficult it is to change it. Sounds like its pretty much a judgement call. Also, sounds like a minor mistake but why put yourself at their mercy if it's not too difficult of a fix.

Also, Matt, why did you sign the DS-230? In the Packet 3 checklist, it says "Please do not sign this form." You had an expedited case, so I don't want to do anything out of the ordinary if that was specific to your expedition.

The hard part isn't about making that change, it's the possibility side of the whole thing. Since it is in their system already and the bar code was already assigned. I was thinking about filling out the downloaded version instead and use that one. Then have it correct at the embassy if they have to.

EVOLUTION`,

Someone gets off on making photocopies.

You can re-do the DS-156. I would, but I don't know how essential it is to correct the error. The village name probably could have been omitted altogether, but having included it it would be nice to have it right.

Yodrak

someone mentioned before that it's good to sent in the NVC letter and a copy of NOA2 approval letter along with the above mentioned.

So, I got another question. After I print out the completed electronic version of DS-156 online I notice an error on my fiancee work address. Can I redo it again or would it really matter. It's just a minor mistake. I put in the wrong village name, I got the commune/district and the province right. That's the only form out of all the forms that I forgot to change.

ultimoxo,

A photocopy of the petition Approval Notice is a supporting document requested with Form I-485 for adjustment of status, and the original may be asked for (or not, shouldn't be necessary) at the adjustment interview to verify the photocopy.

It's not needed for the visa interview.

EVOLUTION,

if you are talking about DS-156. I have heard from friends who went to the interview after Novermber 2. everyone must have barcoded DS-156. many people didn't know the new rule and brought the old forms and then the officer allowed them to use computers at consulate to make their new one again.

I also have made an error on travelling date that is we can do manually, so I decided to make new one instead off. As I haven't seen the case study of mistaken in filling bar coded DS-156 electricially , so I will bring both the mistaken and correct form on the interview date.

Hi all,

I've been in Bangkok for the past week and we returned the necessary packet 3 items EMS (express delivery) on Tuesday. I have been reading about getting interview dates and just wonder if anyone here has recently gotten their interview date... I'm trying to get some idea of when she'll be scheduled for.

I've also noticed that some have sent emails requesting interview dates and I am curious if I need to do that.

I leave back for the states today and will be writing more soon.

Hey Bill,

Since you have just sent in the necessary packet 3 items, can you tell me exactly what they requested? Did you return the DS-230 signed or unsigned?

I also am anxious to know when the interview will be. The appointment list on the embassy site has the latest appointments in early January, so I am assuming those with our similar timelines will be late January.

The instructions say do not sign the visa application, and the last line of the instructions says to bring the applicatoin with you to the interview. According to the instructions, and the recent revision, you send in the biographic data sheet, signed, along with 2 passport photos and a photo copy of the poto page of the thia passport. That was all I sent in, (along wiht the check-list).

Your interview is also coming up soon and you got it a month after packet 3 came. I hope I can get things turned around as quickly as you have. Did you pick your interview date or do they simply assign it?

I wrote a cover letter and sent it along with other packet 3 documents. In the letter, I mentioned that I'd appreciate if I could be scheduled for an interview before Dec 5, since Dec 11 is my fiance's birthday. I'd like to be with him on his BD.

I also signed on DS-230 part 1 and the Embassy didn't say anything (yet). So I think it's fine if you sign it. Or if you don't, then the Consulate will let you sign at the interview.

Bill - The visa fee must be paid in prior to the interview appointment. And about the interview date, you can check here interview schedule The schedule has gone up to the middle of January already.

Good luck

My fiancee signed the part 1 also, and she got her visa. I think that part 2 is the only part that needs to be witnessed by the C.O...

Hmmm.....to sign or not sign? I think I will just send it in unsigned as per the instructions. It seems as if it is not a major deal to the embassy as you will have to sign it later regardless. I will be in Bangkok on Tuesday and I am reading that many people dropped their documents for scheduling the interview off directly at the embassy. Has anyone done this recently? I want to do that on Tuesday and just want to make sure it is still OK.

Also, I am getting a co-sponsor for the I-134. How many years of W2 and tax returns has anyone recently submitted with success? I have seen that one year's is acceptable for the K1 interview. And I would need them for myself and for my co-sponsor, correct?
