GOT IT!!

Pond had her interview this morning got there about 6am. Got the call 10 minutes ago about 9:45am bangkok time. Very simple interview the woman was very cordial and caring.

The questions she was asked: (in case anyone is preparing for theirs and curious)

WHere and when we met:

how many times I had been to visit

when the last time I was there

where she will live

pretty simple. I was worried since I wasn't able to go with her.

I cannot thank everyone here enough I would have been lost without this website.

Congratulations!!

Considering current events in Thailand with the coup situation - I hope everyone in the queue for visa processing stays safe and sound, and the delay (if any) is minimal.

 it will - if Thaksin just let it go and step down.. it wont if he wants to cling to his power.

Did anyone have to get a new police certificate in Thailand? I believe it expires in 6 months but ours hasn't expired yet. Anyone have any problems with the Thai police certificate during their interviews recently?

update. my fiance called the embassy and they said that the reason she needed an updated police certificate is because a few thai ladies committed some crimes after they got their first certificate. during the interview day, they ran a check online and found out about the crimes and thats why they want a new certificate within 3 months. I think its kinda dumb especially if her record is clean. They are going to check her record in the computer anyways even if she gets a new police certificate or not. i will let you guys know. just to be safe I told her to go get another one.

We're not quite to this stage yet, but what I'm hearing is that its not best to 'jump the gun' and get all that stuff way ahead of time. How long does it take to get the police report? Do you have to make an appointment or can you just go and pick it up?

Also, I am hoping that our NOA2 is close to being approved, what things could we be getting out of the way ahead of time?

well i am one of the recalled cases and it was done back in may. it takes about two weeks. you first go apply and then have to go back in two weeks to pick it up. i don't think they can mail it. it is probably better to pick it up in person anyways. i pretty much waited for them to send packet 3 over to my fiancee, then i mailed over the i-134 affidavit of support documents over to her.
