Hi guys, I have an upcoming interview and amongst the requirements, these were listed.  I have inserted them below. I do not know how to get these, my spouse is in the US, he has relapsed and is not very coperative and I am pancking because this is about to happen soon, please advice. Someone had suggested I can download it from NVC but I went in there and cannot figure out where to download it from, and am scared I will mess things. Please advice? Also, do these need to be originals? Any lawyer here who can help me with this for a one time fee? TIA!

Prior to your interview, please use the below checklist to assemble the required documents in the following order for each beneficiary listed above:

o Form I-864/A “Affidavit of Support” by o Petitioner and o Joint sponsor

(Please note that if the petitioner does not meet the financial requirements, you must provide an Affidavit of Support from a joint sponsor as well.)

o U.S. tax documents (Form 1040) or other financial evidence (from the most recent tax year)

o Proof of U.S. petitioner’s citizenship or LPR status (such as a photocopy of a U.S. passport or naturalization certificate)

o Proof of U.S. petitioner’s domicile in the United States (Important: If the U.S. petitioner does not currently live in the United States, please ensure you provide sufficient evidence of their domicile in the U.S.)

Financial documents, once submitted, cannot be viewed or downloaded from ceac; this includes most of the petitioner's documents.

There’s not much you can do. Consulates usually want to see an updated/recent I-864 together with the supporting documents. A lawyer can’t help. Your husband is a your sponsor, he is responsible to filling out and sending you the affidavit of support.

Hi, thank you. We had recently updated it on NVC, can I get a copy from there? OR does this mean he will have to fill this out again just for the interview?

Previous poster said it’s not possible to download them. Your husband has to send you the required documents.

Is 1-864 considered a financial doc?

Yes, it falls under that umbrella. If you’re asking if you can access it, no you cannot access I-864 on CEAC anymore.

These are typically PDFs of scanned documents.

Are you stating that your USC spouse will not or cannot send you the PDF files that he uploaded to CEAC?

Hi, thank you for your response. We had an immigration lawyer who backed out at the last minute once all the documents were submitted, she had enough of his threats and so now, I do not know where to go to get them, my spouse will not cooperate, he is under influence of substances.

Did she submit the documents and then backed out, or did she back out before the documents were submitted?

If the former, perhaps you can contact the lawyer to get copies.

As a general advice, and you are free to totally ignore it, it seems you have more than immigration to worry about.  Domestic abuse is an issue in some situations, and are you sure you will not be in danger if you immigrate and get together with your spouse?  Please do what is best for you.

Its the former, she submitted it all, the case is essentially on autopilot. Yeah, i have been thinking about it, but I couldn't live with myself not knowing and thinking I backed out too early and gave up too soon on him, I love him and feel really sad seeing the transition.. thank you for your care, it warms my heart.

Hi, do you know if it is form i-894/a or i-894? And if my spouse can access them and downloads them and sends them to me, is that okay, or do I need a whole new set of documetns filled out?
