Help!! Interview without Affidavit of Support

Hello I'm hoping someone can help because I have been panicking all day!

My fiance just had his K1 visa interview in Argentina this morning; however, we didn't realize the Affidavit of Support was required at the time of the interview. All of our papers were in order (barring the affidavit of support) and the interview went really well. When I checked on the status of his visa, it said denied. Does that mean that they are denying it until we send the affidavit, or do we have to start this process all over again?

Also I am a student and do not have an income yet so my parents will be sponsoring my fiance. Does anyone know if I need to file the form I-134 and the I-864, or can I just submit the I-864 because my parents are the sponsors? Also do I need to submit a separate I-1864 for each of my parents even if they file their taxes jointly? Thank you so much in advance!!!

Check again if it says Denied or Refused. Did they give your fiance any slips mentioning 221g or something? If it is actually denied then you have to start the process again beginning with new petition.

It says refused! Does that mean we just need to submit the affidavit and it should be fine?

I-864 for head of house and you.

I-864A for any dependant/ subordinate listed on head of house taxes.

@Crazy Cat is the above true?

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

It’s I-134 for K1 applicants. Both you and the joint sponsor have to fill a separate one. The consulate may want to see supporting evidence (tax transcripts, pay stubs, employment letter)

You may want to start researching the I-864 requirements for adjustment of status now, so that it doesn’t come as a surprise to you like this did.

You only need I-134 for K-1.

No for a K-1, he has been denied a visa.  If he is being allowed to provide additional information he would have been given a 221g.  What did he say what happened at the interview.?  Most likely, the denial is based upon background check, or medical results.
