Renewed EAD expiry date earlier than previous EAD expiry date

My current L2 EAD expires on 03/10/22. I applied EAD renewal on 09/21/21.
I received new EAD card on 02/25/22 and the expiry date on the card is 03/01/22 which is earlier than current EAD expiry date (03/10/22).
I was expecting the new EAD expiry date as 08/08/22 which is my I94 expiry date. As per my knowledge the validity should be 2 years or till I94 expiry date whichever is earlier.

Anybody else has the similar issue ? Please let me know if you have taken any steps

If you have the copy or saved form, check if you filled info properly. Renewal or replacement, category, and i94 expiry date. What else did you provide as supporting documents?

Thanks Arken for replying. Its replacement and category is L2-dependent. There is no space for i94 expiry date, but I-94 record number is correct. Anyway I called USCIS and then send back the card.

I saw two similar cases while googling. Below case is similar to mine. https://www.avvo.com/legal-answers/ead-renewed-new-card-has-an-expiry-date-earlier-th-5483009.html

Not sure if uscis is screwing up with their new policy that L2 spouses don't need EAD if their new i94 issued by uscis or provided by CBP has L-2 spouse designation. Did they provide new such i94?

Something wrong going on. I send a mail to CBP regarding the same and asked them to update I94 to L2S, but they rejected that request.
