Hi! We need to travel to PERU and I realized my wife's passport had just expired. Peru will let her in, 6 months window for expired passports. But will we have issues getting back into USA, we have her change of status coming up, just sent in the forms but no appointment yet. US Greencard to expire in May and we plan to get back in April. Is it too risky? Is it going to be a problem getting back in with Expired Peruvian Passport, she has the Immigrant visa in it, so I do not know if we can even get a new passport in Peru for her, and then get US Embassy to put Immigrant visa on that in such a short time frame? What is the best to do? Not to travel until we sort it out or is it ok?
