I saw this link on the case tracker app

https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do you can change your address there

Hey all, I am the petitioner, and I will be moving end of May, our application is already being sent to the embassy. Do I have to update my address once I find a new place? If so, will it slow anything down? What if interview is already set etc. Does the petitioners address matter after it's already at the embassy?

If it's already on way to the embassy I'd think the only address that will be of importance would be the beneficiary's since package 3 and approved visa will be sent there. You can include new address to Affidavit of Support (I-134) that your beneficiary will need for the interview.

I already sent that with my current address as I won't be moving until end of May so I won't know my new address for a while.

Hi guys, the embassy in London have received our approved application! Should I wait for them to contact me or is it worth calling them to arrange an interview and a medical?

Also, can anyone advise me if the interview and medical can be done on the same day? Thanks!

I would recommend calling visamedicals and booking your medical as you have your NVC number - they're quite busy at the moment. In terms of the interview as long as your NVC status shows 'ready' you can go to the embassy website, pay and book for an appointment.

I had my medical yesterday, which was quite efficient in and out process and have the embassy interview in three weeks!

I think you need the interview invitation letter to schedule the medical examination,  NVC number is not enough

In the UK you just need the NVC case number in order to schedule the medical. You will however need to present the NVC/Embassy letter when attending the medical.

So I'm not sure it's for every country, but when your stuff is received by embassy they send a packet with instructions on next steps, even though we may know next steps the beneficiary is supposed to wait for this packet to schedule the interview, medical exam etc. It's called packet 3.

I thinks its the email from the embassy on how to proceed then. To book the medical and interview or pay for fees and what to bring on the interview.

Hi y’all

so we received the I-797 notice of approval

we just don’t know if this is the “NVC received”/NVC that’s on the timeline or just a notice of approval.

The I-797 is just the notice of approval. Next step is to wait about two to three weeks and start calling NVC at 603-334-0888 to see if they received your case from USCIS, submitted in their system and case created, if so get your NVC case # and invoice ID. While you're at it, verify your's and beneficiary's email address. With NVC case number you can start tracking to see when it leaves NVC to arrival to embassy/consulate. Your beneficiary can also start working on DS-160 with those case number but wait on submitting till your case arrives at embassy/consulate.
