Just did the DHL hack mentioned in the shared Google Doc and looks like our paper version should be delivered to the embassy next week. Sweet!

Is doing this hack complicated?

Not at all! Follow the link to the DHL "Track by Reference" site, for 'Shipment Reference' enter in the day you received email from NVC that it was being sent out. For example, our date was May 10th, so I had to input 'EXP 10 MAY 2022A'. You just need to replace the date and keep the 'EXP' and 'A'. For 'Destination' put in the country where your fiance(e) is. Lastly, give it a good date range, couple days before and after the date you for above.

I had my interview at the London Embassy yesterday and with great pleasure I can say that the visa got approved!!!! The process was super smooth and efficient.

It has been a long journey, but all worth it! We're so happy and we're getting ready for our new beginning finally 🙂

I wish all the best to the rest of you and to meet your loved ones very soon 😀

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Couple weeks ago, found packet 3 at the US Embassy-Korea website using the site map. It listed what documents to bring to the interview and the requirements for them. On Tuesday (10th), we received an email from NVC that our case was sent to the embassy, so our status on CEAC is now "In Transit". That day we started filling out DS-160 and although many folks here said to wait for cases to arrive at the embassy, we went ahead and submitted it the following day 😖. That same day, my fiancée was able to pay the MRV fee using the Electronic Funds Transfer option listed in ustraveldocs Korea site. Couple hours later, she was able to schedule the interview and then made the medical exam appointment.... Hopefully status will be "Ready" on CEAC before the interview date. Don't be like us, folks!!! Although I'm excited that we're so close to being together, my anxiety has spiked due to doing things out of order. 🤞

Just a little update. The initial appointment fiancee made on 10th/11th was cancelled by embassy since case hadn't arrived yet. It finally did on the 16th and status changed to "Ready". Before reading why the original appointment was cancelled, fiancee scheduled it again since it arrived. At this point, we still had not received Instruction Package email from embassy. But unlike before, the embassy did not cancel, which is good! And just a moment ago, received email from embassy :) Now we wait patiently for interview 😬🤞

Have a question about timeline dates. Should I put down dates in US time or in Korean time? Just wondering since there is a 14 hour gap... Like the email from embassy is dated the 18th of May, but it's still 17th of May here.

How accurate is this DHL hack? It says Mumbai post received my case on the 4th. However Everytime we contact the embassy they tell us that they haven't received the physical file yet. Anyone else have this issue?

So I called the NVC today and they told me the the embassy had sent the packet already. The embassy is telling us they haven't received the physical file yet! NVC said tell the embassy to send the packet again. So many mixed messages. NVC also doesn't have a date when the packet was sent so don't even know if it's in the post or got lost.

Yup confirmed embassy in Mumbai still says they have not received the physical form from the NVC, even though the DHL hack showed no movement since may 4th. I hope it didn't get lost 🙁

We got the notification letter from NVC on May 10 saying it will send our case to Poland embassy and the case status change to ready on May 12, but we still don’t get any email or invitation letter or instructions, is it normal? The NVC letter did say it could take a few weeks. I called Poland embassy and they said NVC need send the appointment letter and I also called NVC and NVC said for K 1 visa, they just set up the case and transfer to the embassy, maybe the case not received by Poland embassy? But who changed our case status to ready?

Hi everyone. Just very confused about original and scanned copies we can bring for the interview.

Regarding the documents that need wet signature- letter of intent to marry, i129f, i134. Do we need to bring the original documents with a wet signature or a scanned copy with signature is okay for the interview?

Hello!

I do not think you need i129f as the embassy should have received it from NVC/USCIS.
i134, letter of intent can be scans but maybe it’s better to have originals.
