I don't know what to say.

It says it is in-transit and it's bee 7 days, wrote to USPS, they said it could be lost.

My i-94 is expiring tomorrow.

I can send another one quick by today or tomorrow but I'm worried about lost documents in the mail and someone could steal it.

Should I report just incase someone stole it and can create a fake identity?

Don't just write to USPS. Go to your office with the receipt they gave you with your tracking #, ask to talk to a supervisor.

No, don't send another package just yet. More often than not, the other package shows up, or it was never lost. They just didn't scan it.

This is for future applicants: avoid filing so close to your I-94 expiration date.

Seven days is way too early to panic.

ok I just read some other forum threads that may were in the same situation - parcel was not scanned but eventually was received.
I guess I'll wait.

I did call USCIS in the end, they said to wait, and if I had to file one past i-94 date, that I would write a letter explaining what happened along with a resubmission.

Man, they really need to scan packages!

Most of it is just "in-transit arriving late" for 3 days now.
But I read some others in the forum had this same message but USCIS did receive the package.
Maybe postmen just dumped the package at lockbox and did not scan...

yup, read around that they prob didn't scan it.

Would advise to anyone filing to get signature and not use USPS 2 day priority service. Please pay extra for a signature.
I will do so for future things.

I would advise anyone not to use USPS. Period.

There is no rule that you must file before day 90 however after day 90 you will become out of status which usually isn't an issue unless you come in contact with immigration enforcement.

Carry your shipping receipt and passport to prove you did file.

USCIS counts the day it was postmarked as the date it was sent.

Worry not. Noone is going to arrest you. 🤣🤣

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Just an update -

After I sent a probe about a possible missing package, I received a status update the next day. stating my package was finally in movement again and has been delivered. 😑

For all future VJ-ers, a 2-day Priority USPS service means a minimum of 2 days but it is not guaranteed as what happeed. Please go for. 2-day Priority Express, or something with a signature. 😪😪😪

Thread can be closed. Thank you.
