I received my NOA1 via text on Monday, 04/04/2022 from USCIS. Today, I received my hard copy via USPS. I scanned my Form I-797C for any discrepancies. Everything is correct except for 1 item. My beneficiaryś first name is Nina on the form. In my I-129F application, I typed in as ¨Niña¨ with the ñ like this. Would this be a concerned in the future? Should I contact USCIS to have it corrected? Thanks

Hello...Welcome!

For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together.

Stay patient because this is a long process currently running 9-12 months for your NOA2 or petition approval by USCIS (first stage). Then your petition will be sent to NVC (second stage) and finally your interview at the embassy (third stage).  Also, do not compare yourself to others....Some will receive NOA-2 faster than others, some will be stuck at NVC for longer and then finally some will receive interviews fairly quickly at embassy. STAY PATIENT!

Please create the timeline in your profile. Also note that USCIS goes by "Received date" not NOA-1:

Example

I-129 F Sent -  February 28, 2022

I-129 F Received - March 3, 2022 (NOA-1)

I-129 F - Notice Date - March 5, 2022

In this example your NOA-1 should be March 3. This will help you fill out your timeline properly.

Hey. The annoying this is when I created timeline here, it suggested completion date to be around May 29th. But now it's moved to June 5th.

We were supposed to get things faster since president mandated clearing the backlog, but looks like it is going other way around. I tried expediting through congressman, but after month and a half of inquiry, they told me they sympathized with my situation, but I don't meet expedite criteria.

Oh wow that’s crazy. I’m not sure why we can’t expedite. It will help reduce the backlog I think.
At this point, we just have to be patient and wait. We are 7 months in. Soon we will be congratulating one another and this while waiting will be far behind us.
