As mentioned above name changes require judicial ceremonies and wouldn't be offered same day. Your middle name correction is it something USCIS messed up on or was it messed up on your BC? you may not need to do a name change if it was them that messed it up.

Hi Ontarkie,

It's a cultural thing in the Philippines.

For women, our maiden name format is  'FIRSTNAME' 'MiddleName=Mothers Maiden && "Last Name=Fathers Last Name"

When we get married, it becomes

'FIRSTNAME' 'MiddleName=Fathers Lastname && "Last Name=Husbands Last Name"

I waited long enough for the N400 to fix this. I found this out long ago when I had to change my name with Alberta Motors ### after I got married and they explained that only last name can be changed upon manage.

Since I'm definitely not going to do same day oath, Do you think it's ok to ask IO to schedule my Oath after my trip? Would this be ok to ask an IO?

Ah that makes sense.

Yes it is completely ok and it should not be a problem to ask them to hold off.

Next day.

You'll only get it same day if your flight is same day. Mine was 3 days away. So, I got it next day.

If you know of your oath is say next Thursday, you can call the PP agency today and get appointment for next Thursday or Friday. You can come out of your oath and head directly to the PP agency. I believe you read my post that was linked by @B52Boozer on how to go about it.

Passport agency appointments are out to almost 10 working days at the moment. Very little availability. You need to check where they are located in relation to your  residence. I could only drive to one location 6 hr each way .

Thank you everyone for the help on this question! :D

I was recommended for approval and had that oath ceremony will be scheduled notice on the same day of my interview. :)

My name change delayed the oath, per officer, she asked me if i wanted to proceed with the name change because I could take the oath on the same day if I rescind it.

I went ahead with my name change as its the easiest way to fix my middle name and I am traveling in 2 weeks anyway so I could not get a passport in time.

I will take oath hopefully in June
