If this child is not listed and pops up on a radar later there could be serious consequences applied retroactively long after your K1 is processed.

He’ll have to explain this at interview as this is his problem.  Yours, the support affidavit, does not include non-sponsored immigrants who are not immigrating however hopefully the child is listed on the I129F

Not only that, but child support payment history is considered in naturalization.
