Is the Vermont Service Center taking long processing NOA2'S?????????

Taking longer than in previous months... Summer months are typically busier for them, plus the fee-increase at the end of the month probably doesn't help.

You can check projected timelines here on VJ, but I'm guessing that they're also going to rapidly change with the fee increase coming up at the end of the month.

Just curious as to why summer months busier? Is there statistical evidence to this?

YMMV

yea, if you look at the historical processing times for VSC it is very clear that the busiest times of year are from may-august (roughly)...the processing time for last year peaked in august, so it might get worse yet...theres no way to tell

Removal of Conditions NOA: 2/24/11

Biometrics Appt: 8/15/11

ROC Approval: 9/30/11

Card Production Ordered: 10/11/11

Card Received: 10/15/11

So I lied, next time I will double check BEFORE i go writing things...

it actually appears that last year the busiest times at VSC were during the second half of the year...between july and december

that includes this part of the year though, and most of the summer, so yea...summer's are busy as well...that part was true

now it seems even more likely to be a longer wait =)

I'm sure I read the other day though that last July there were like 70 NOA2's issued? So although it's there busiest time, it seems as though they get them processed quicker..

No matter what the statistics show though, you really can never tell :(

I am still convinced that it is all down to the person who works on your case. What you want to hope for is that someone that has just started the job picks up your case file and gets it done super quick to earn brownie points!

That was probably from one of my posts. Please keep in mind, that was just showing the subset of VJers who updated their timelines to show they received a NOA2 last July from VSC.

Actually, VSC processes many many NOA2s per month.

It should be interesting to see if VSC can keep up its low turn around time on NOA2s after the change to direct filing.

Just curious as to why summer months busier? Is there statistical evidence to this?
