Dual citizenship marriage

Friends… my fiancé and me plan to marry this spring. We will soon thereafter start the process of applying for dual citizenships in Honduras due to the purchase of a second home. She is currently from Colombia and I am a US citizen. Honduras may be faster processing of CR1 from what im reading plus we can live there together for a good part of the year. Are there any foreseeable issues in going this route as opposed to waiting so long to process through Bogota? Is this even legal to do? Thank you.

Sorry… I accidentally posted this in K1 forum as well.

The foreign spouse must interview in either their country of Citizenship or country where they are authorized to actually live. (Not as a visitor, but not necessarily a citizen either)  There is no Consulate shopping.  Live where you want as long as it is legal.

Well... I'm not spending $400k on a home in Honduras just to get a marriage visa if that's what you're implying. It's not a matter of shopping by any means, just one of choice between one or the other in a legal way.

Not accusing.  Giving information.  Note that the spouse visa process and any immigrant visa is intended for the foreigner to make their primary residence in the USA.  In general, that means spending more time in the US than out, and not leaving for more than six months at a time.  It's not that simple though.  Google "maintaining permanent resident status USA" and read the official USCIS explanation.
