Global Entry/NEXUS while on AOS

Hi Everyone,

Does anybody have experience or know if I can renew my NEXUS (TTP- Trusted Traveler Program of CBP) while my Adjustment of Status is pending? I am on AOS from B2. I received a renewal notice that my Global Entry/NEXUS be renewed in March or I will lose it. It expired after 5 years. I'd like to keep it as it will be helpful to travel either by plane or car once I have my green card. I'd like to know if I am still qualified with TTP while I am waiting in purgatory :D

Thanks.

Renew it.  You can adjust the information after you get outta purgatory.  Don't be surprised if you just submit the renewal and they extend the expiration date for 24mo.  The offices are still closed and they are so behind, it isn't even funny.  I have 2 pending renewals, one for me and one for my kid and both are extended.  We still haven't been able to make it in to update addresses or add the greencard information.

@chancecody, or anyone else who's been through this during AOS from B2: what information did you use for the renewal? Did you use your original Canadian residential address (not mailing address, but "residential/permanent address") and provincial driver's license, or your new US address and state driver's license? And if you've had a CBP NEXUS interview (or USCIS I-485 interview) since, did this come up at all?

My husband is a Canadian citizen, adjusting from B2 and his NEXUS is expiring soon. He's not going to use GE/NEXUS for a long time because the AOS is pending, but having TSA pre-check to travel domestically would be really helpful.

I'm worried that renewing with our US address + his US driver's license info while under AOS may cause issues with the system, and wonder if keeping his Canadian address/license is OK for now. Address changes don't need to be reported unless they impact eligibility, and so using his provincial license/address now and then showing CBP the relevant docs + explaining at an interview (or updating later if no interview) might be better. I'd hate to jeopardize anything immigration-related here though, or have some CBP/USCIS officer conclude there was any deception going on.
