Here in case anyone is interested, as I enjoyed reading other reviews before my medical!

Medical, 3:10pm Thurs 24th Feb

Embassy Interview, 9am Wed 2nd March

Arrived 2:50pm and was told to come back at the right time, and that my wife couldn't wait with me as they were busy. Came back at 3:10pm, without my wife. Filled in some medical history forms, answered simple questions, receptionist made copies of my documents and held on to my passport for the duration of the medical. After all of this, they took a picture of me and asked me to sit in the waiting room.

15 Min wait for Doctor - Check up included questions on history, height, weight, blood pressure, eyesight check, looked in my ears, listened to heartbeat. I then was asked to undress (to underwear) and lie on the bed, after which the Doctor felt my stomach etc, checked arms for self harm marks, tested reflexes at knees and bottom of feet, and then took blood. This was as good an experience as it could be, aside from being poked and prodded, the Doctor was very friendly and made me feel at ease.

20 Min wait for X-ray - The actual process for this took 2 minutes, simple take your shirt off and stand in front of the x-ray, then go back to the waiting room. The technician for the x-ray was professional enough, but it wasn't a particularly nice experience. The standard routine was for her to walk close to the waiting room, mutter someone's name, and then come back a minute later and speak to them like an idiot for not hearing her. The room itself had the blinds open, looking straight out to a set of apartments, (Odd as people have to take everything off their chest in that room), and after the x-ray was complete the technician gave a simple "off you go" and turned away to work on the computer. It felt completely separate from the rest of the experience, as the technician was dismissive of everyone I saw her communicate with.

20 Min wait for Vaccine check - Went through to the nurse's room, and she discussed the vaccine situation with me in full. It turned out I needed a booster for a vaccine I had as a child, so I asked to receive it there and then, at a cost of £45. This was a very simple check up, and the nurse was fantastic and very friendly.

10 Min wait for paperwork - Called back to the first receptionist, who was friendly and helpful both times I spoke to her, who explained my paperwork and took payment. After I had everything back, I left and now wait for the results!

The whole process took about 60-90 minutes and was pleasant enough, for a medical!
