IR2 Visa Packet

Hello everyone! 

 So, IR2 visa for my son came today!☺️ However, he checked the envelope and it only contained his passport with his visa. I read somewhere people get a white paper containing instructions on how to pay for green card fee? He didn't receive any. What should I do? Is there anything I need to do before I book his flight?
 Also, do I need to register him for CFO? He is 20 years old btw. TIA for being so helpful! ♥️

CFO ... everyone needs to register/attend to get the certificate/sticker.   Not getting on an airplane otherwise.

 

Immgrant visas have went digital, fewer trees being cut down.   It appears you know you need to pay the immigrant fee, so who cares about a letter?  Pay the fee ...  link to the process >

 

"We strongly encourage you to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee after you pick up your immigrant visa from the Department of State and before you depart for the United States."

 I thought he'd get something that contains his alien number and DOS.
