correct but by June 1 will they lift the quarantine for unvaccinated?

Hi! My guess is they will go back to the 10 day quarantine again. They only lifted that 10 day quarantine because of the upcoming Elections in May. Thats why Im traveling at the end of this month.

I thought unvaccinated people aren't allowed to enter the PH right now? Is quarantine an option for unvaccinated to enter the PH?

Not right now.  You cannot enter the Philippines without the vaccination card.  Check your other post.  My friend just landed there last week and I talk about his experience.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Can you please elaborate on this.  Who is they and what was the reason for lifting based on elections??  Im curious because the subset of the Philippine population that would be affected by a quarantine is extremely tiny.  :)  Europe and other regions of the world have dropped quarantine requirements a long time ago.  Many countries are also starting to drop the testing requirement for vaccinated travelers.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

I'm referring to the Government ,sorry. In my own opinion and a lot of Filipinos will agree that this 10 day quarantine at " a Government Accredited Hotel" is all about business profit. Imagine the hotel bill for 10 days. I booked my vacation last year at one of the hotels in Cebu and 10 day stay was Php43,000. which was almost $1000.00 I ended up cancelling my trip because I chickened out when I saw the document that I need to sign when i get to the airport in the Philippines that if i ever tested positive of COVID I'm giving the Government of the Philippines the right to take me to a facility.  Scary.

Yes , these testing requirements are  crazy esp when you look at the news and all these people are all gathered closely together attending these political rallies.

Pretty sure you are wrong: unvaccinated can enter...

That is for foreign nationals entering on a 9a visa...Not Visa-Free. Embassies and consulates are no longer issuing 9a visa for tourists. There are other threads on this here. But, of course give boarding a plane to the Philippines without proof of vaccination and let us know how it works out.

I think you are wrong. US is visa free. That is old information too. 9a visa holders have slightly different requirements but I am pretty sure they are also required to be fully vaccinated after February 10.

I am as well. Of course it says it in the 160D PDF I posted. BB's must be vaccinated. The only thing BB's are exempted from is having the within 30 day return ticket. This page explains it more clearly. Only 9a's can do the non-vaccinated arrival and I'm not sure I would even risk that if it were my time and money.

What you are quoting falls under the 9a visa holder section.

This explains it much more clearly:

You will not be able to board without proof of vaccination period. Married or not. Proof of being fully vaccinated is required.  You do no longer need a visa to enter from the US. You only need proof of vaccination, negative test no more than 48 hours prior and the One Health QR code that you cannot get without uploading your vaccination card(s). My friend just arrived there on Feb 24. All were required in order for him to get a boarding pass.
