But due to the war I had to leave Ukraine and I'm here now in the US on my B1/B2.

Does anyone know if I can have an interview and further proceed here? Without going to Germany or any other US Embassy in Europe

If you are in the US, you can get married and proceed directly to Adjustment of Status. We have a whole forum for that:

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-amp-tourist-visas/

Your K-1 will be abandoned as you won't need it anymore. K-1 was merely a visa to enter the US. Now that you've done that, you can just continue on to the next steps.

In an email thread I came to know a person who got his wife through the Mexico border without filing for I-130. Looks like at the border no questions are asked for ukranian passport holders.    I am wondering if anyone with  pending K1 approval do the same? any consequences?

There's a whole thread on that here, with a couple people who shared their experiences of successfully doing just that:

Update on my end - got all of my RFE documents mailed to USCIS yesterday. Hoping they receive my paperwork in the next day or two and we can finally get our resolution! 🤞

I got my RFE April 4th, and they needed a waiver form my Fiancee had completed but I never sent.  I had it, so I mailed it out right away via express mail.  Was delivered to USCIS April 6th, and I am still waiting to hear from them.  Only been just over a week, but I hope they get to it sooner than later.   I wish you the best also!  It is definitely frustrating to all in this difficult time

Good to know! I was actually going to ask where others on this thread who received an RFE were in their process. I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long for all of us. My main question (but it’s basically impossible to reach USCIS) is whether our RFE responses are still considered “expedited” like when we received an expedite on our noa1s. I would think so, but still waiting to hear back as well. Hopefully this week brings us some luck!

Yes you can get an expedite in USCIS but not for the war itself. You must show mental or physical deteroration, financial loss or the ability to sustain yourself. Depression, etc.

You must continue asking even after being turned down. Most expedites are approved on the 2nd or 3rd request!  Many Ukraine and Russians wanting to escape have been granted expedite. You must request again at NVC

Does anyone here know if my fiancee needs any documentation from the father to be able to come to the United States with his mother on his K-2 visa?

From what I understand it goes by what the laws of their present country are and from what I understand Ukraine does not require this.

Just another update! After NVC received our case, through contacting them via email we were able to have the case transferred to Romania and expedited within 24 hours. The embassy then received the documents from NVC two days later with instructions! Now awaiting medical exam and then scheduling the interview. NVC is very responsive through email it seems so don’t hesitate to communicate that way if you have questions for them. Best of luck to everyone else!

What email did you use for this? What were the reasons to expidite and transfer? And how did you organize the email, subject and other information like petirioner name, etc?

NVCExpedite@state.gov

For the subject, only used NVC case number. In the body I gave petitioner name and DOB, simply stating the request is due to the war situation in Ukraine, nothing more. For the transfer request, I simply replied to them after they accepted an expedite request, stating the petitioner was living in the country she was in(Romania) as the reason for transfer.
